Splurge Worthy | Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Defination Powder Foundation


Hey Babes!

You'd probably be thinking that same month & another foundation review?
But trust me I had to share it with my beauties because its that good.

This is the first powder foundation I own (weird, right?) but I absolutely love it as its a very versatile product (keep reading to know more). Its the second foundation from my Sephora Haul (watch here). I tried this foundation over my Dior Nude Air Serum foundation & I loved the combo. I have been using it on daily basis topped on Dior for more coverage or on its own for a natural and matte look.

How I feel about it?
This foundation has become a daily part of my makeup routine & I carry it in my bag. It has survived 55C of temperature without leaving any oil on my skin. Its a very smooth foundation which has build-able medium coverage. The pigmentation is good & powder isn't chalky at all. It blends like a silky smooth dream & gives you a very nice matte finish.

Multi usage product:
The best part about this foundation is that its light and can be worn over another foundation, on its own as a powder foundation or you can use it with a wet sponge to give you more coverage with demi-matte finish. Its a very versatile product to set your foundation & use as touch-up product without adding more cakey layers.



Shades:
I feel that everybody will find their match as it has a variety of shades with three different undertones; cool, warm & neutral. I have already recommended it to my friends & they are loving it. No one has faced any skin problem, dry patches or breakouts. So go and find your perfect match!

 Formula:
UD claims that the foundation has HPP (Highlighter Performing Pigments) technology which provides the perfect level of coverage to even out skin tone & optical blurring pigments create soft-focus effect. Its a weightless & luminous formula which even outs the skin & gives a decent coverage. Its a light diffusing formula which keeps your skin oil free. But the formula doesn't have an SPF which means you have to apply it separately.
Packaging:
It comes in a shiny purple gunmetal kinda case which is made up of plastic to keep it light & travel friendly. The case comes with a mirror + a cute little sponge + an open airy compartment to keep your sponge dry (if you have used it wet), this all fits into a very cute little cloth pouch to keep the case secure from scratches & clean. So its a big yay!!!

Final Verdict:
Overall its a good day to day powder foundation which is great for the season & oily skin. I wish it had an SPF, so I dont have to go a step extra for that but still I love how weightless it feels on my skin. I wont say its a holy grail product which has it all & I wont be looking for other things. I will keep looking for other option but till then I'll be using it & re-purchasing if I have to.

OOTD | Weekend outfit inspiration: Palazzo & Tee


Hey Fashionista!

Here is a quick inspo for weekend ootd, Happy weekend!
In keeping up with the weather I opted for a very light fabric palazzo which has lining above the knees & gives a beautiful sheen look to your legs while covering them. It has plaids which makes it very flowy & wearable for the summers. Its a very soft georgette fabric which makes it very airy & breathable to the skin. This palazzo is from Centerpoint & I bought it for around 110SR.




I paired my black palazzo with fun coral color tee, which is also from Centrepoint, I bought it for around 79SR. Its a soft cotton tee with a black perfume bottle on it & a cute bow at the back to add little details. I feel that the black color bottle graphic ties the look together.




For my feet I took out these blush colored strap heels by Payless which I bought on their Tuesday Everything 65SR sale. They have been in my shoe stash since I bought them & never got a chance to wear them. I wanted to wear heels with a palazzo so that it looks flowy & add some inches to my height (though I'm 5'10 already). I opted for a nude shade because I don't wanted to add more color to my look.




With accessories I'm keeping it very simple because I dont wanna drag the attention away from my tee. I'm carrying my most favorite Michael Kors Traveller Hamilton medium bag with very basic golden studs which I got from a random kiosk at Al-Salaam Mall, Aldo's toe ring which has this tiny orange pearl & golden colored MK Wyatt watch. I also wore my favorite nail combo, Black out by Maybelline & rose gold glitter from Claire's.

Splurge worthy | Dior Nude Air Serum Foundation

Hey Makeupaholics!


We all love makeup, dont we?
But these days this weather isnt much supportive with this much of humidity & sweat. 

No worries the savior is here for covering up skin, giving flawless finish & still keeping it light to breath. 
Yes! I'm talking about this all new Dior Nude Air Serum Foundation in the makeup block. 

I tried mine in the Sephora stores to match my colour and picked the lightest shade in my recent Sephora Haul (watch here). I was in love with the texture & how it looked on my skin. I saw it in different lights in the mall, outside it & came back home after finishing my shopping, the foundation was still on.So I decided that its a good foundation & I should pick it. I went back to Sephora, purchased my foundation & used it the same day.

My take on the product: 
I have used it for more then a month & I feel now is a good time to share my thoughts with you. I absolutely love how smooth is this foundation, it just disappears quickly into your skin leaving it flawless & radiant. Its a very light foundation which gives a beautiful coverage blurring out the imperfections. 

Texture & Formula:
The texture of this foundation is very liquidy & runny which makes it really light. It dries quickly so you have to work fast & it blends like a dream. It comes on as a light thin layer yet with a great sheer coverage. Its contain oils that evaporates instantly to give you that perfect natural looking makeup in an instant. The formula is drying yet gives you a semi-dewy finish. It has an SPF25 which is always great. 

Its a talc-free formula which is combined with blurring agents & glazed pigments that offer weightless correction, evenness & radiance. Its an oil filled formula with air bubbles combined with vitamins & minerals that brings continuous balance & vitality. With each application the skin feels more breathable & brighter. It smells like a botanic talcum powder but I love it. 



 Tids-bits:
Its a bit pricey but worth it as I feel that the amount of product I need to use will last for quiet a while. I set it on my T-zone only & it stays for good 8-9 hours in this humid weather. Till now I havnt noticed any problems on my skin except for the fact that it looks & feels better. I get alot of compliments & get asked what I'm wearing. I tried it with a Beauty Blender & Real Technique Buffing brush, I feel its better applied with a brush because for the blender its very liquidy. 



Final Verdict:
Overall its my favorite at the moment & I dont reach for anything else these days as I know I cant use anything else in this weather.Formula is drying so make sure your skin is moisturized otherwise I had dry patches. It dries somewhere between matte & dewy which is just perfect for me with an SPF 25  So if you are looking for something which is light & suitable i'll highly recommend that you try out this foundation. I will re-purchase if I run out or dont find anything better. But I can tell that its going to be one my favorites for a long time or may be forever.

Drugstore Gem | Dove Inner Glow face wash with NutriumMoisture

I hope all of you are doing well & beating the heat.
I have had a busy month, full of outside meetings & events. As a result my skin turned into a total mess & became super sensitive. I have been using the Ponds Mattifying face wash for controlling the oil on my skin, its very amazing for keeping your skin matte. But with regular use I felt that my skin is becoming dry & very sensitive as my skin is not too oily. My T-zone became sensitive to almost every skin product I have been using & I couldnt even touch it. So, I felt I need to change the face wash as its very harsh & drying up my Skin.

You can find a variety of face washes to suit your skin type but unfortunately my all time favorite Ponds Flawless White wasnt available anywhere in the stores. SO, I knew that I had to try something new & I was very scared about it. But I decided to go for a product which has a moisturizing element but still keeps your skin radiant not oily & I knew the answer.



I picked this Dove face wash because of 2 reasons; Dove always has a moisturizing based products & I have used alot of Dove products which I absolutely love.  I wasnt much hesitant about this answer & I quickly selected the Inner Glow face wash for a glowing & radiant skin.

This face wash has a Nutrium Moisture which acts as a unique, intense beauty serum by making the skin look & feel beautifully plump. The Formula is combined with DEFI (Directly Esterified Fatty Isethionate) benefits, which is proven to repair your skin from cleansing damages. Dove formulation restores the skin's natural moisture by preserving both protein & lipids.


It contains the micro granules which helps in exfoliating your skin to make it smoother & removes the dry or dead skin. Its not even a week & I can see noticeable difference on my skin. My skin feels more moisturized , glowy & radiant. The sesitivity issues are gone because it exfoliates my skin while not being very harsh on it.

Victoria Secret New Body Care Collection


Hey Beauties!

I  hope that all of you are doing well. I'm here today with an exciting post for you. 

We all love the pink stripped brand. Yes! I'm talking about Victoria Secret. 
I'm a big fan of their body care products, fragrances & cosmetic bags. The body care is always very effective with killer fragrances. They have huge variety of product lines to select what suits you best. I also did a review on my favorites mists from VS which you can read here. 

Recently VS angels celebrated all new Body Care collection which is to be released sometime in August in Middle east stores. This new collection has four product line with different scents; Acai, Verbena, Shea & Coconut Milk. Each line has four different daily-use products; smoothing scrub/wash, ultra rich cream wash, hydrating body lotion & a weightless body oil, to deliver nourished & more touchable skin from head to toe. Here is a little sneak peak of products for you. 






Excited? Well, I'm. I haven't checked the stores so I don't know if its already available. But i'll check soon & let you all know my thoughts about them.
