2014's Favorites

My Dear Beautiful Readers!

First of all I would like to take this moment & thank you all for reading & supporting me. Its been a great year with loads of new things, alot of opportunities, new friends, new followers & so much to remember. But like every other year it has gone & we will always remember the moments we lived in it. I hope you all had a great year & wish you all a very happy new year which may bring loads of success & happiness into your lives.
I wanted to share alot of things not just beauty related but alot more which I loved during the 2014 but I can't cover it all in one post so i'll be sharing what I loved using the most in 2014 & were my staple items.



1. Vaseline Even Tone Lotion:
I enjoyed using the Vaseline Total moisture lotion but this year I made some changes to improve my skin care routine & I came across this lotion. I have always been looking for something that can even out my skin tone, moisturize & protect it. this lotion combines all these qualities & save me those extra steps. I use it in the morning my AM routine & wear it daily with or without makeup. This lotion has given great results in evening out my skin tone. Read more here.



2. Ponds BB Cream:
I can't say enough things about this BB cream. This one is my most favorite & it has made my life easier & my skin so flawless. It goes on skin very smoothly, blends & gives you matte finish. the undertone of this BB is yellowish which helps in neutralizing the skin & gives it a flawless & radiant look. I'm not a heavy base or foundation kind of a person & i use this BB for parties & wedding functions as well. The coverage is good & buildable. 3. Ponds Flawless White face-wash:
I use this face wash daily in my AM routine. It has small micro beads which exfoliates your skin really well. It makes my skin oil free & more smoother. It has also helped in improving my complexion giving me radiant & flawless skin. Its a good face wash for daily use & will always repurchase it.



4. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara:
The bestest drugstore mascara I have ever tried. Its a good everyday mascara which gives you volume & length. nothing too dramatic but gives your eye-lashes visible thickness.  It stays for good 8 hours & doesn't smudge or clump. It doesnt say its waterproof but it holds up really well throughout the summery days. Read more here.



5. Ponds Age miracle range:
I have been a fan of Ponds products & they suits my skin really well. I loved their Flawless White range & in mid year I started using their Age miracle range. As its named, the range is really a miracle for fine lines. I picked 3 products; night cream, eye cream duo & face wash. I'm super amazed & satisfied with the results. Read more here. 



6. Too Faced Chocolate bar palette:
Even before reading this everyone should buy it. Yes! its that good that everyone should own one. Its the only eye shadow palette I have & I use it for every kind of makeup. Its a best neutral palette with a few pop of colors which can create infinite looks. the eye shadow are of super quality & not that it looks so delicious but it also smells so divine. All of the shades are super wearable & it has good range of matte to shimmery colors. definitely a great purchase. Read more here.



7. Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Bronzing palette:
I love this palette i did a complete review on it which you can read here. Its a great Limited Edition palette from Too Faced which had 3 of their famous bronzers in one kit. This palette had everything & every type of bronzer you need. The packaging was also a major hit which actually dragged me into this palette. I love using the Chocolate soleil for contouring & snow bunny for highlighting. The formula is amazing & blends incredibly to give you natural bronzed looking skin. Perfect palette to get that "Bronzed goddess" look.



8. Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet:
An amazing product of 2014 was by my favorite drugstore brand. Its a matte finish formula which stays insanely on your lips. It doesn't smudge, fade out or dry on the lips. Its a liquified lipstick that glides on like butter & dries to a perfect matte finish. The pigmentation is good, you can wear them as stain or layer up for intense colors. Read more here.


9. MAC lipstick in Please Me:
MAC is my favorite brand & first choice when it comes to lipsticks. I love their formula & love how they smell. I'm a MAC addict & I cant pass by a MAC store without making any purchase. I always wanted to have this lipstick & finally got it. I love having pinkish nude lips for daily wear as they brighten your look for the day. Its a great daytime pinkish nude with matte finish.


10. Bourjois Contour Clubbing pencils:
Another favorite drugstore brand with another favorite product. these pencils are amazing. they glides on super smooth & stays like magic. The pigmentation & color payoff is insane. I love using the Ultra Black for a winged eyeliner & to my surprise it doesn't smudges. The other color is also a very beautiful plum-ish metallic brown which looks super sexy on my lower lashline & ultra hot for the perfect daytime smokey eyes. I've planned on picking up few more & will highly recommend to my followers. For swatches click here.




11. Rimmel Eyebrow pencil:
I was kinda disappointed in Rimmel mascara & lipsticks but I picked up this eyebrow pencil & its really great. it goes on the eyebrows really smoothly & its hard enough to stay for a good 10 hours. It doesn't smudge at all or does not fade away. i really like the formula & the colors they have. you should check them out at rimmel counters. Read more here.



12. Garnier Fructis Split Ends Serum:
This product is a life saver. I have had a severe split-ends problem. This is a great serum which saved my hairs & improved how they looked. It does what it says & it seals the split ends immediately & prevent them from reoccurring. Its not mentioned on the product anywhere but this product has helped me in controlling the frizz & dryness. it has improved my hairs alot, less split ends & they look shiny, healthy & feels so smooth. Its used on damp hairs & also can be used prior to blow drying. It makes my styling super easy & my hairs very manageable. Read more here.



13. Rimmel BB cream:
So after an year & almost half, you all know that I'm a BB cream lover. I don't use any foundation but BB. This is the second favorite BB which I love using for fall/winters. Its a 9-in-1 formula that moisturizes, prime, conceals, protects & brighten your complexion. Its a good find & really great at pocket. Read more here.



14. Narciso Rodriguez:
Ok! If your my regular reader you know that this is my signature perfume & no matter what I try, I always come back to it. Its been 2 years since I was introduced to the Narciso Rodriguez & since the first use I'm in love.  It has always been the most favorite perfume. I talked about this in many monthly favorites & did a complete review. Whenever I'm confuse I know its the best choice & I always get asked & compliments about it. 15. TBS Camomile Eye-Makeup Remover:
Before this remover, I used to remove my eye makeup with olive oil which was effective but very messy. Since i started using this eye maker remover I'm in love. Its very effective & removes everything without any struggle. I put in on a cotton pad & keep that pad on my eye for about 5 seconds & just a swipe will take off everything you had on. Though mascara & gel liner needs a few more swipes but it works for me. Its gentle which is a plus point for the sensitive eye area. I really enjoyed it & definitely re-purchasing it.


16. Wella Pro Series Frizz Control combo:
This shampoo has been a savior in Jeddah's weather & water. I had severe frizz & hairfall issues with unimaginable dryness. This combo helped in controlling the frizz & making my hair smooth + softer. They smell really fresh & citrusy.  The consistency is very smooth not too thick & not too thin. Plus they are very affordable & widely available. So, if you are facing any above mentioned hair problems you should definitely give it a try.
