My Rosy Makeup Menu


Dear Beauties!

Since its spring, today I decided to share my breakdown of products for achieving that rosy & fresh look. Its no surprise that this season gets us in fresh & rosy mood. After a heavy makeup & dark lips seasons we all want to wear light makeup and look as fresh as we can. Although I still use a bunch of products but I try to keep things minimal, natural and enhance my features a lil.

Spring is the season to go for an almost bare face, even though some of us cant get away with that. My this look consist of just a few steps that make me feel more awake & ready for the day. I love swapping different products considering the makeup so that it doesn't melt off or looks too washed away. The following products are in my this look's menu which I love for Spring as well as for days I just wanna look awake & fresh.



I first like to go in with my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer+ to make sure that my skin is well moisturized. After it I spritz my MAC Fix+ & let it absorb in my skin for a few minutes. Once my skin is ready I mix a coin size of Ponds BB + Cream with a few drops of Dior Nude Air Serum foundation & apply it with a RT Buffing brush.

If you have clear skin & no-to-light dark circles you can totally skip the concealer like me. Once my foundation is in place I like to go in with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit & set the eye area with Banana powder on my RT Contour brush. I like to use Fawn with my MAC 125SE brush  for subtly contouring my cheek bones, nose & jawline. After that  I take my ABH A23 Highlighter brush & shade Sand for adding a little glow to my cheekbones, tip+center of nose, cupids bow & a little on my forehead.

After completing my face I immediately grab my Rimmel Brow This Way kit & draw my brows as desired. Once my brows are done I love using Naked 3 palette for eyes. After my brows I take the shade Strange on a large eyeshadow brush & apply it all over my lip. Then I take shade Limit and add a touch of shade Buzz on my RT Deluxe Crease brush to in my crease. After doing my crease I take shade Burnout & apply it on my lid. Then I use the flat side of brush given in the palette & take the shade Blackheart and draw a very thin close to lashes line to define my eyes.

Once I am done with my eyeshadow loving I grab my Rimmel Super Curler mascara & apply double coat to my lashes. I love giving a subtle flush to my cheeks and for that I use Benetint topped with my all time favorite H&M blush in Sweet Rose.

For my lips I keep them light & fresh with my signature MAC Please Me lippie. And this concludes my fresh/feminine/rosy makeup look which is best for everyday & spring season.

Top 10 Beauty Products of 2015



Better late then never My Beauties!!

2015 was a breakthrough year in beauty for me. I have always liked makeup but never got into it until last year. I tried to pick every single limited edition to regular products coming out and realized I have an obsession with lipsticks.

Before last year my makeup was basic to a BB cream, eyeliner, mascara, brows, blushers, lipstick & BAMMM! I had an idea about all the makeup steps & products used but was never bothered to try them until last year. I started hoarding makeup, like literally! I added moisturizers, primers, foundations, powders, concealers, contour & God knows what not to my makeup stash.

I tried alot of different products & holy grailed a few of them. While I was busy buying & trying the products there were many I didnt even touch *sigh*.

I discovered some amazing drugstore gems along with few high end holy grail products. I have alot of favorites from last year but here you go with my Top 10 picks.

1. Huda Beauty Lashes:
So I picked my first pair in the end of 2014 and used it for couple of times. These lashes were so easy to apply & looked so beautiful that I fell in love.  2. Beauty Blender:

3. Bubblegum scrub by LUSH:
This is also one of the products I picked in the end of 2014. I used it couple of times but didnt like it & then I lost it in my stash. While looking for a mask I found it again & tried to work my way with it. This time it worked really great, left my lips super soft, well exfoliated & plump. I love how how it makes them rosy & ready to apply my liquid lipsticks. I use it twice a week or sometimes thrice, depending on when I need it. I am a big eyebrow on fleek person & for me eyebrows are the most important feature of your face. I always want them on point, bold & perfectly shaped. And this is exactly what this amazing kit does. 5. Dior Nude Air Serum Foundation:
If you are my regular reader or follows me on my Instagram then you probably know about my love for this foundation. This was the first high-end foundation I tried & I have already holy grail-ed it. I love everything about this foundations, its texture, its finish & how it looks on my skin. It gives a beautiful natural coverage & blurs out the imperfections. 6. Boots Cucumber Whitening Cream:
I have been repeatedly mentioning this day cream in my routine & favorites. Its such a great drugstore product which gives amazing results. It has helped in even out the skin tone, brightened-up my complexion & keeps my skin well moisturized. I use it on daily basis in my morning routine & I dont really have to moisturize again till the night. Its thick texture sinks into skin without being greasy or oily. Read more..

7. MAC Fix +:
So with the dry season around this spray is coming really handy. After watching on so many youtubers & reading alot of good things I am really happy that I picked it finally.  8. MAC Giambattista Valli Lipstick collection:
So this collection was one of the hits of last year & everyone went gaga over this. I remember spending 4 continuous hours on MAC's website trying to checkout with my lipsticks. The packaging was amazing that totally sold me over these & I splurged. Watch here...

9. Neutrogena Deep Clean Gel Wash:
I have tried alot of different face washes during the last year some of them were Ponds Oil Control Mattifying face wash, Dove Inner Glow face wash & Neutrogena Deep Clean were the best. But if I have to choose one & use it for the rest of my life it will be this one. I never thought I am gonna like a facewash without microbeads. But this one is amazing and cleanses the skin so well that I dont really require a microbead one any more. Officially hooked & on my second bottle! Read more....

If you have not tried these maks then you have not done anything right in your skin care routine. these masks are magic. Beauty Must Haves | Olay Regenerist Cleansing System

With all this makeup we really need to take care of our skin. Because a beautiful makeup look cannot be achieved if you dont have the perfect skin. I have always had clear & radiant skin but from all this makeup it started to act crazy. From last few months I was breaking out all over my face which never happened to me. My T-zones went super oily & undereye very dry that I couldn't apply anything not even the moisturizers. I have dry to combo skin.

I have been changing alot of products in my skin care routine & that's when I decided to pick this brush.  I was tempted to try a brush cleansing system but was not ready to splurge & pick Clarsonic.
And I'm happy that I didn't as this works just perfect for me. So Today I'm sharing my complete thoughts on this product. Interested? Then keep reading.



I picked mine from Whites Pharmacy in Salaam mall for around 135SAR, which is greater then spending 600-700+. It comes with a brush head, batteries & a sample sized cleanser. Separate brush heads are easily available in the markets for around 35SAR.

I first used mine for removing the makeup & I loved how it worked on my skin. It moves in circular motions yet very gentle on the skin which cleanses without over drying or harshly exfoliating. It did remove the makeup & left it very smooth. I used it in my night time routine with the Age-defying night cream & let me tell you the forehead wrinkle which I have been worried about has disappeared.



I use this once a week if I am not wearing too much of makeup on daily basis or twice a week if I have had heavy glam sessions for parties etc. I have seen a big difference on my skin, it feels smoother, clear & my breaking out also stopped. It also helped me with the flaking & dry patches issues.

I use it with the cleanser it came with, sometimes with my face wash or even sometimes I just put the scrub with microbeads on my face & use this to get rid of dead skin. Versatile, right?



Apart from being effective on skin this system is water proof which makes it even more easier to use it in the bath. The brush doesn't let the product out that means no dripping & it lasts for a really good time. I have been using it for good 2 months & its still looks new.

I have found my skin looking really radiant & clean since I started using it. I would never splurge & buy something when I am really happy with the results. So, if you were wondering if you should pick which one I guess I have given you a really thorough review. Save! for other stuff.

Skin Care Essential | Winter-proof Skin Care Routine

When its cold in Middle East, we all know that things gotten really serious. And what happens when temperature take a nose dive? It effects our skin's moisture level. So we have to make sure that our skin care routine is winter-proof.

Use a gentle scrub, I know it sounds weird but trust me exfoliation helps your moisturizers work better. As our skin dries out & dead skin stops shedding, it keeps your moisturizer from fully sinking in. So use a mild scrub girl!

Some of us need richer moisturizers during winters, so upgrade your moisturizers. Your old moisturizer that worked really great for summers is not guaranteed to work for winters as well. Look for the products with Glycerin & Sorbitol in it but keep the SPF in your mind. I am loving my Boots Cucumber Whitening Moisturizing Day Cream for my days.

For nights I like to give my skin a lil extra care with my The Body Shop Overnight Vitamin E serum in Oil followed by Olay Age-Defying night cream for a radiant & youthful looking skin next morning.

I am hooked up on Neutrogena Deep Clean Gel Wash. I have been loving it so much, it cleanses my skin really well without drying it & my skin looks amazingly radiant.

Last but definitely not the least in my Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub to keep my pout soft & smooth.

2016 | New Year Personal & Blogging Goals



Dear Beauties!


I cant believe that 2015 is already over & we are in 2016!!!

Finally the worst year has passed which felt like never ending & with the new year I am looking forward to the new & better things to come.

2015 was one of the hardest year of my life & I will consider it "The lessons Year". I was struggling with alot of things at same time & I dont know how I made it to here, like seriously! I never thought I will. And then keeping up with everything was so difficult at times but since it has ended lets leave everything their & set some new goals for the year ahead of us.

Personal Goals:
Dont skip the workout & eat healthy (because that really helps me)
Make a saving plan & stick to it (that means no makeup hoarding Anam!)
Focus more on my career & take my job seriously (since I have been promoted as a Manager)
But dont forget to pamper yourself atleast once in a month.
Schedule your me time & unplug from everything.
Read more books.
Travel to a new place.
Cross atleast 2 items from you Fashion list.


Blogging Goals:
Do more of Vlogging (I tried but couldn't manage it well last year)
Try to be more active on social media especially Instagram.
Pre plan your photoshoots.
Make & maintain an Editorial Calendar.
Take good quality pictures
Learn to edit my photos & videos

And with all these there is alot more I have to share with you guyz but not now. Let me come back from my vacations & spill the beans. I am very excited & positive about this year with all the happiness & opportunities to come. I wish you a very happy & blessed new year ahead! I hope this brings alot of success, prosperity & countless blessings in your life.

Mask Mania | Peter Thomas Roth Mask Magic

I have been into alot of skincare & mask lately!
I had recently tried a-real-lot of Sephora masks which I absolutely love & tried the Nivea mask which worked so well for me.

I went to Sephora to pick my Birthday gift & waiting at counter for my turn my eyes caught these Sephora exclusive pack of sample sized masks by Peter Thomas Roth. I have not tried anything from them so I decided to pick it because of the size, price & pumpkin mask. Dont judge!!

I started using them in my weekly skin care routine & now I am hooked on to these. My weekly skin care routine is incomplete without these. I have been wanting to review these since long because they are the bomb & I am loving them.



So this set comes with 3 masks; cucumber gel mask, pumpkin enzyme mask & rose stem cell mask, available at Sephora for 75SAR which is not bad & perfect if you wanna try these before buying the full sized ones.

These three are very famous masks which detoxify, repair & polish the skin. I have dry to combo skin & I have used all three of these, no reactions or problems. My skin has improved magically & feels much clear. These masks have natural ingredients & after trying them I wont mind buying the full sized since they are very effective & totally worth it.

Each mask is different, designed to answer nearly all the skin concerns. So let me break down all three separately for you.




1. Cucumber Gel Mask:
This mask is formulated to detoxify your skin while hydrating it. It feels fresh, soothing, cool, moisturizing & heals the irritated or sensitive skin. It has extracts of cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, orange, lemon & alot of other natural ingredients which I would love to have in a mask. It really helped in healing my sensitive skin around the nose, eliminating the redness & irritation while hydrating it. I love how my skin felt so radiant & cool after the first use. You apply it in a layer & let it dry for about 10-15 minutes before rinsing with water.





2. Pumpkin Enzyme Mask:
This one is referred as Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer, Its an intensive skin resurfacer treatment that exfoliates with pumpkin enzymes peels with alpha hydro acid & polishes with aluminium oxide ( three in one) to reveal a smoother, younger looking & revitalized skin. It has very tiny & fine beads which dont feel chunky at all but doesnt get dissolved as you exfoliate. I absolutely love the pumpkin fragrance & how it exfoliates my skin removing all the dead skin, leaving it polished.
I apply it on a wet face massage & then leave it on for like 5 minutes before washing.





3. Rose Stem Cell Mask:
Its a bio repair gel which helps in reducing the fine lines. The cutting edge plant biotechnology isolates & replicates five perfect repairing rose stem cells, which helps with wrinkles, rejuvenates, revitalizes, firms, tones, hydrates & brightens the skin. I have been using it with my other anti-aging products to reduce the appearance of a very stubborn forehead wrinkle & its gone.
I apply it in generous coat & leave it to dry completely before rinsing with water. It smells divinely of roses & leaves my skin smooth & oh-so-soft.




Over all this pack is a bomb.com. Its worth every penny since the results are amazing. You dont need alot of product & the results will amaze you. I have been using these like 4 times in a month & I still have alot of product left in these mini jars, good value! Definitely going to be an essential of my skin care routine & these have encouraged me to try their 24k gold & charcoal masks now. So if you have been looking for a perfect product this pack is your answer that is going to solve all your skin issues.

Skin Care Essentials | The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum In Oil

For many of us, winters bring more than just rosy glow to the cheeks. They also bring uncomfortable dryness with numerous other skin issues. For some people like me its worse as my skin starts flaking & cracking on some areas.

The skin around my nose area & a bit on my cheeks gets really dry that you can see all the visible dry patches & irritated skin. I have been using Boots Cucumber Whitening Cream for my day routine & in normal weather it works for me really good but as the days are getting colder my skin has become a mess again.

And then I realized that I need more then just a moisturizing cream, I need an oil!

I had this TBS Vitamin E Serum in oil from a very long time & I used it rarely since I didn't really need it. As now I have been using it alot I thought of sharing my views with you. So if you are interested then keep reading.

I have a dry to combination skin & moisturizing my face is the first & last task of my day.

The product comes in a cute pink bottle which feels like stone & has a pipette applicator which is great for getting the right amount of water. It comes in 28ml which is a good amount for money & the packaging is also very travel friendly. The bottle looks small but lil goes a long way since you dont need a bit amount to get the results.

Its a serum in oil supercharged with Vitamin E which is a powerful anti-oxidant which means that it helps your skin cell from damages caused by oxidation resulting from heat, sun, cold, pollution etc. It helps in healing the skin from damage & aging prematurely. No wrinkles! We are happy.

 I take 5-6 drops of this oil and massage it on my face & neck. It absorbs in the skin really well & the texture is very light for an oil. It feels really smooth on skin without being oily, greasy or heavy. The next morning results are just great, it makes my skin super soft, glowy, hydrated & the dryness almost gone.



After a few uses I have noticed that my skin feels happy & healthy. It has helped in eliminating the dullness & irritated skin. It really proves to be an 8 hour sleep in a bottle as I have used it on a days where I wasnt getting enough of sleep but in the morning my skin felt well rested & pampered.

You can use this product on its own or mix it with your regular moisturizer, it works great! It gives my skin that extra love.

I will highly recommend this product for the season. Its a must have for all the skin types. You might feel a lil confused like me that how a face oil can help but I will recommend it to the oily skin people as well for dealing with seasonal dryness & hydrated looking skin. Even you can find really good reviews from the people with acne, breakouts & other skin issues. Versatile!!!

Skin Care Essential | Neutrogena Deep Clean Gel Wash

A few weeks back I posted a picture on my Instagram showing you a parcel I received from Neutrogena with 2 of their products to try out.

Ever since, I have been using their Deep Clean Gel Wash and after a few washes I couldn't use anything. Why? Because I noticed a huge difference on my skin.

Its my first time using a gel based face wash which doesnt have any microbeads for exfoliation. I had a feeling that I wont like it since its plain but I was very excited to try it. This product felt like a savior & came just in time.

I used it for a few days & I realized that it has made my skin really radiant. I realised that I have been doing so wrong with my skin by keeping only the exfoliation in my mind. I used many different face washes to keep my skin exfoliates & matte but I never thought of a radiant skin. All the face washes I have ever used left my skin some what dry.

However, this face wash cleanses my skin really deep without drying it & helps in locking the natural moisture which has resulted in a very glowy skin. It removes all the dirt & makeup (Almost too well), leaving my skin feel very fesh & clear. It smells kind of chemical but not something that bothers me. I feel its a great product for dry to oily skin.



This product comes in a clear bottle with a pump, which is great as I can see how much product is left. The pump can be locked so its really great for travelling. You dont require alot of product, lil goes a long way.

I have mentioned it couple of times in my skin care routine & on Instagram. I recommended to a few friends of mine & they have seen great results. This wash has helped them with their acne too.

Overall, its a very good product & I was never expecting a face wash can change the whole skin game. I love it & definitely will keep using it in my daily routine. It has made to my repurchase list & I will Highly Recommend this girls!
