Drugstore Gems | Rimmel 9-in-1 BB cream ( Matte & Radiance)




Just like every other BB cream, Rimmel BB creams also claims to provide many benefits in one tube!
So, Today we will read if the claims are actually true and does this thing really works? 

I am a fan of these Alphabetic cream, especially BB cream. I love my skin base minimal and light but no matter how hard your try you end up layering different products for different properties. Thats why I love BB creams as they have multiple benefits and I don't have to go all those steps, because hey! I ain't got no time in morning. 

I have been using the Rimmel BB cream Matte from a very long time and I discovered that they have a Radiance version when it came in my mail. Yippeeee!


I love how these have 9 benefits which primes, smoothes, conceals, minimize pores, moisturizes for upto 24hr, awakens, brightens and mattifies/adds radiance depending on which one you picked. The shades have more of cool to neutral undertones which I like as everyone can wear these unless you wanna look really warm or bronzy summer ready. 

The best part is I get to apply only one layer of product and in summers its all about let your skin breath. I love how it has SPF 25 which is always a plus point to makeup product I pick. I have dry skin but for some reasons my skin hate ayering up the products and it just hates SPF separately. If I apply any product which is a little heavy I feel my skin cant breath and its suffocated, it also sweats alot. 



These BB creams have more of a moussy thicker texture than most of the Westernized BB creams, it is closer to the Korean version of BB creams. Thats why these BB creams require a little more blending than your usual ones. Most of the people claim that these just sit on their skin and doesn't get absorbed. The reason behind this is the texture, you require less product than your usual BB creams and blend it a little more too. once they are blended they give you a beautiful sheer-to-medium coverage that lasts.

I don't recommend this for the sensitive or acne prone skin since it has potentially irritating amount of alcohol and fragrance, so chances are your skin can react. So if you have acne prone or sensitive skin, pass on this one!!!





But its a really good product for those with normal skin. The matte version works well for oily to normal skin, but works fine for the dry skin too (speaking from the experience). I would also suggest that oily skin people set it with a powder just to keep it in the place and last longer in this hot weather (I love the Rimmel Match Perfection for that). Its not a matte-matte version but gives you a subtle matte-ish look, just keep that in consideration.




The Radiance version is good for dry skin only as I feel its just too dewy for normal skin even. But its better than many other drugstore version of BB creams and my second favorite after Ponds BB Cream.  I use my Ponds BB+ throughout the year but I also really enjoy the Rimmel one during colder months.

Overall:
They are a really good product that works as it claims. It has SPF, primes and gives a good coverage. Its also very light on pocket and the tube packging makes it really easy to use. Its also very great to carry in our bags to work or school. However there are few things which you need to consider before making your purchase. Regardless its my second favorite and I absolutely enjoy it. It doesnt sit into my line or transfer to my scarf. It makes my skin look perfected and more rested + awake.

Drugstore Gem | 5 Must try products from GOSH

Hi Beauties!


GOSH is an innovative cosmetics company based in Denmark that offers a wide selection of products ranging from fragrance to cosmetics to skin care. All the development, production and distribution takes place from Denmark to ensure the quality of products.
GOSH provides the good quality products at very affordable prices. Not only this but all their products are harmless, parabeen-free & crulety-free brand, Yes!!!

 The good news for my beauties is that now this amazing brand is available in Saudi Arabia and across GCC. Hurrayyy!!!

 So a couple of weeks back they contacted me and told me that they are interested in sending me a few products to try and review. I was excited because I never tried anything from GOSH. I received the package and the sent me 7 products to try.

I kept them in my new products storage to try and the products made their way to my vanity very quickly as they are that amazing. I used and felt in love with almost of their products because I wasn't expecting this much of effectiveness and good results. GOSH has become my new favorite beauty brand!




GOSH Prime'n Set:
Prime'n Set is a Primer & Mattifying setting powder. Its a multi usage product that can be applied on face before makeup to prime it or you can use over your base to set it, Versatile!!!
I am not sure about the priming part since I have dry skin and I use a hydrating primer but for setting my base I love it. The day I started using it, I never went back to any other powder product and I kept it in my vanity drawer right away.
I use it with a damp beauty blender to set my undereye area, T-zone and below my contour. It just melts into your skin and you dont have to work on blending it in. The powder is so fine and silky which makes your skin look smoother. I haven't seen any creasing or cakey-ness on my face ever since. This silky loose powder creates a flawless, matte-finish and an airbrush look. Read more here or watch my complete review video.



Primer Plus + Illuminating Skin Perfecter:
This product is infused with skincare ingredients and create a visibly even skin tone, reduces imperfections, fine lines, redness and smoothens your pore, leaving you with a illuminated complexion. To my surprise this product doesn't add alot of coverage but does a pretty good job in even-ing out the skin. It contains Silsoft E-pearl, an emulsion that provides moisture and helps in lightening the skin. I love using it on daily bases to prime and add some coverage to my face but I also love using it under my foundation for a beautiful dewy and airbrush look. It can also be used under your powder foundations or mineralized powders. Another versatile & very effective product!





BoombasticXXL Swirl Volume Mascara: 
Any makeup product that has nourishing ingredients, I am always down for them. We often forget that like our head hair our lashes and eyebrow also need some care. This mascara, unlike any other mascaras I have used, is formulated with Argan oil which moisturizes your hair and Vitamin E boosts the hair growth. So this mascara doesn't only give you full, voluminous lashes but it also helps in nourishing and growing them. The formula is not too wet and once applied this doesnt make your lashes very dry and stiff looking, instead it curls and add a decent thickness to your lashes. The formula is creamy and easy to apply, no clumping here!



Velvet Touch Lipstick- 010 Matt Smoothie:
You guyz already know how I feel about lipsticks!
This one feels like milk chocolate on your lips, very smooth. It is a matte formula but its very comfortable on your lips, stays forever and doesn't end up on your teeth or below your lips. This lipstick is hella pigmented that you don't need to go over and over to get the color, One swipe is enough! This creamy lipstick ensures easy application, good color pay off. Its formulated with hyaluronic acid to moisturize, hydrate and soothe your lips. Not to forget that it smells amazing, that I almost bite it!




9 Shades Shadow Collection:
Last but not the least is this awesome cool toned matte eyeshadow palette. Who doesn't like a cool toned natural to smokey eyeshadow palette? We all have enough of warm toned palettes and I myself, is a big fan of them. But the color selection in this palette is just amazing. I can see myself using it and there are a hundred thousand possibilities of look. I was expecting these to be chalky and less pigmented but to surprise these eyeshadows are really good. All these eyeshadows are matte but still they have this beautiful sheen to them which doesn't make them look flat. It has so many color options in order to get any makeup for daytime or night. These eye shadows are pigmented, color pay off is amazing and they blends very easily. I love the packaging as its very sleek and sturdy. Its a great palette on-the-go which can be carried in a bag on daily basis and awesome for travelling unlike my other palettes. Who needs some daily looks?

Underrated Products | Sephora Sheet Masks (Do they really work???)

So probably till now you guyz already know how much I love these. But Yes I had to have a dedicated post about these on my blog too, just in case if you guys are not following me on my Instagram or Youtube, there were chances you could have missed this amazingness!! So make sure to follow me everywhere.

(Now, enough of my rant and coming back to the post)

I have been loving these sheet mask for over an year now, these are the first sheet masks I have ever tried and they became my skincare staple. I keep reaching back to them no matter what I try. These sheet masks are really good and gives ah-mazing results too.

 These sheet masks come in a beautiful, colorful round packing. Each color has a different ingredient to target different skin concerns. So all these colors indicate all the solutions we have for our skin now.

The sheet mask it self is very awesome and big enough to cover any face shape. It sits perfectly on your face contours and stays on it without failing to slip down or mess up. Its not too thick nor too thin, but perfectly sized to absorb all that goodness of serum and locking it into your skin.

The serum consistency of these masks is amazing, not too runny neither sticky or thick. The serum really gets into your skin. The masks are slightly scented, which is really relaxing I feel (as I hate scent less products).

The most surprising part is there pricing, I am really happy that they cost like around $6 dollars and yet very effective. I love how they have so many options for so many different problems, each of them seems to work really well. You can see instant results after using.

These masks are really easy to use. You have to apply these on cleansed face for 15-20 minutes as per the direction but I leave it on skin till the time its completely try. the masks are drenched in the serum once you open the packaging, so there is always extra serum in the packet which I like to take with my fingers and use on neck area.

I have tried all of these and none of them ever failed me. As most of you know that I have dry to combo skin so I love the liquid product for that extra hydration. So lets talk a little about each individual one with its ingredients.

1. Linghzi mask for Anti-Aging & Smoothing (Orange one):
This mask has the extracts of Linghzi which is a mushroom used for its anti-bacterial and anti-aging properties. This has to be among my top 5 of this line. It really helps with fine lines, wrinkles and any other signs of aging.

 2. Rose mask for Ultra Moisturizing & Brightening (Fuchsia one):
This mask contains the extracts of rose flower which is amazing for moisturizing, toning and brightening your skin. The rose also has a beautiful fragrance to relax and calm. My skin loves this mask for its ultra moisturizing properties and it brightens your complexion, leaving your skin beautiful. I love using this mask for days when I wanna feel comfortable in my skin or also for achieving that flawless dewy/glowy makeup look. Give it a try and you will know what I am talking about.

 3. Honey Mask for Nourishing & Balancing (Honey one): 
Honey is also known for its anti-bacterial properties and for making your skin really moisturized and soft. My skin tends to get really sensitive because of this hot humid weather and intense workout session. But this mask always helps with the sensitivity and soothes my skin by balancing its moisture level.

4. Ginseng mask for Tonning & Revitalizing (Yellow one):
Ginseng is a herb with countless skin benefits like anti-aging, toning, helping with dark spots/circles and improving your natural complexion. It really revitalizes your skin, rstores the suppleness and leaves it beautiful.

 5. Green Tea mask for Mattifying & Anti-blemish (Green one):
My oily skin girls, this has to be in your skincare routine. It absorbs the extra sebum from your skin that makes it oily and it helps in keeping it matte. The mask is great for pimples and will be your best friends during hot summers.

6. Lotus mask for Moisturizing & Soothing (Pink one):
Again, my skin loves it since it helps in locking the moisture and makes it look fresh. Its amazing for making your skin look stress-free,well-rested and plumped.

 7. Pomegranate mask for Anti-fatigue & Energizing (Red one):
It tones and helps your skin fight the factors causing fatigue. It really energizes your skin leaving it flawless.

 8. Pearl mask for Perfecting & brightening (Baby pink one):
If I have to pick one out of all these, then this has to be the one. It doesnt matter what kind of skin you have, you need to try it. It has extracts of natural origin pearl, which helps in minimizing the irregularities and gives you a perfected skin. It moisturizing your skin, makes it glowing-from-the-moon and amazingly brightens your complexion. I love this for special occasion for that extra radiance and its a must have product for my all flawless dewy makeup looks.

I highly recommend these to everyone which has skin concerns and everybody has loved them so far. I have written this review since I felt there was not enough information about these anywhere and I felt the need.

Fashion Trends 2016 | Sunglasses for your face shape

Because we wanna make sure that we get the most flattering frame style to compliment our face shape. Worry not, I have got your covered on this!

 Look out for your face shapes to know my suggestions for most flattering frame picks for you. 


Round:
So if you have round face play with geometric shaped sunglasses to emphasize on your different features. Opt for rectangular shape to elongate your face while cat eyes will sharpen your soft features.
Recommended frames: Rectangular & sharp cat eyes.





Square:
Opposite to the round face girls, you should offset your features with curvier frames. Dont opt for squared or defined cornered frames as it with look too flat on your face.
Recommended frames: Butterfly, round, aviators & round cornered cat eyes.







Heart: 
If your have broad brows and narrow chin then you are Kylie Jenner's twin (No, I am kidding). Try out styles with bottom heavy frames to balance out. Shapes that are parallel and extend past the width of your face compliments your jawline. Aviators also look really flattering because the silhouettes contrasts your heart shaped face.

Oval:
Lucky you! because you have the most wiggle room when choosing eyewear & you are Rihanna twin! You basically get to wear whatever you want. You can opt for anything ranging from round to edgier.

Drugstore Gem | GOSH Prime'n Set - Primer & Mattifiying (Setting Powder)



I was filming a tutorial for my Youtube and I saw a little creasing on my undereye area and around my smile lines. I opened this product and applied it with my beauty blender. I filmed my tutorial and went out for dinner. during all this time whenever I touched my face it felt smooth & silky soft. And everytime I was thinking what have I used today and realized that its this powder.

I am damn sure that this will solve the problem for oily skin people and make a great primer & setting powder for them. Your pores just disappear and your complexion looks fresh. This doesnt dry up your skin so no crack or visible fine lines. I cant rave enough about this product.

One of the latest addition to Bourjois collection is their City Radiance Foundation, its for those who loves light, glowy, fresh yet long-wearing and utterly comfortable base. Summer is officially here and if any budget friendly base can survive Middle Eastern humidity, its Bourjois City Radiance Foundation.

The packaging is simple but very cute. Its a basic easy-to-use tube which is spill proof. At just 30ml per tube its fairly light weight and compact, that means you can carry it in your daily makeup bag or travel makeup. Attractive!



This foundation comes in 6 different shades, with warm and cool undertone. Te foundation tself is very light weight, blends very nicely and the gel like texture is both cooling and moisturizing- its perfect for dry, normal to oily skin. It smells so amazing of fresh water flowers. If plump, fresh and glowy skin is what you crave, then this could be your answer! Despite being sheer it wears fairly well and holds up against oil, heat and humidity.

 We are in summers, so its time to put our sweater, jeans & jackets in a corner and bring out some always trendy staples for our summer looks. This heat is all about light colors with pop of others but there are some staples that you can rock always. Here is my cover up for some really effortless pieces which you can mix and match with everything to look summer ready!


1. Basic white shirt:
Not everyday can be a flawless day. So, what the easiest way to look great to deal with such days? Well, invest in white shirts. White shirt is not only your summer essential but a year round staple to your wardrobe. You can through them on with anything and still make a statement. Through them on with a ripped boyfriend jeans for a chic look, or wear it with a short and your are picnic ready. Or swap your shorts with a black pencil skirt for evening look. Your options are endless.





2. Stripped shirts:
Black & white stripped shirts never go out of style. There are countless ways you can style them and never get bored. These shirts are a neutral or print world that works with anything, everything! They go perfectly with other patterns as well as with denim, khaki, leather and the list goes on. Wear them under a denim overall for cool look or wear it under a black leather jacket & black slacks for a night out.



3. White denim:
Lets ditch our black & blue denim for summers and pick some white ones to cool down your looks. Through any color of shirt ranging from floral to patterned, black, tan to neon & still keep your look summer appropriate.

They have always been a part of fashion and kept coming and going. This season like neck chokers, anklets chokers are big. They look amazing with jeans + sneakers look but still goes well with skirts and high heels. They add this edgy feeling to your look without over boarding your femininity. I am always wearing few very bright ones with my daily looks. So what are you waiting for?

Sunglasses add an instant glamour to our personality. they make you look hotter & more presentable. It makes a great accessory for the days you don,t wanna do alot. I love how cool they look with a right fit jeans but still works great with skirts.

Yes, you heard it right, pompom sandals are officially a trend. Can you contain your excitment? I can't, because colored pompom makes me happy. Though I still have my heart with Mabu by Maria BK but I noticed that pompoms are not restricted to flats. I have seen some really great pompom gladiators & high heels. So, there is something for everyone. or you can get crafty and DIY!

REVIEW | Ponds Oil Control Mattifying Facial Foam - Oily Skin


Hello Beauties!


So, its officially summers & temperature is already gone above 35C, which is not a good news for people with oily skin. In summers our skin tends to get more oily then any other season. Bad skin also results in other skin issues and you cant really apply anything on your face. You can apply makeup because it also gets removed from your face or looks really greasy.

I am a skin care freak and always looking for good products to keep my skin in its best shape. I change my skincare routine with every season and my changing lifestyle. The most basic skin care starts with a good face wash followed by a good moisturizer. I love trying out different face washes and trust me I have a dedicated drawer storage for all of them.

While on my perfect face wash search I came across Ponds Oil Control Mattifying Facial Foam, I didn't hesitate to pick it because Ponds is one the brands I really love. Who doesnt love some mattifying and oil controlling products in Middle-eastern summers?



I used it for a good month or so and noticed really amazing results. It actually controls your natural oils and keep your skin matte. Its designed to bring softness & suppleness to your skin while balancing your natural moisture. It helps with sebum production which results in prevention of acne and pimples.

It doesnt only help in controlling oil but it cleanses your skin really well. It has micro-beads which helps in exfoliating your skin and cleanses your pores, leaving your skin more clearer and smooth. Its formulated with Minerals Clay that helps maintaing the natural oil level and absorbs the extra from your skin.

The mineral clay seems to work quite nicely in keeping your skin oil free for  6-8  hours. If you have a combination skin or your skin is also on dry side then this product is not for you. Since I have dry to combo skin, my T-zone becomes oily sometimes. I dont use this product on daily basis but my skin loves it when my T-zone is oily or during my monthly cycle.

But if you have oily skin your are going to thank me for this product. 

 It comes in a basic 100gms tube and flip cover which for me is really convenient to use and you don't waste any product. The price you pay for the quantity is totally worth it. Its one of those drugstore gems I have found and I really enjoy it.

Overall:
Its an excellent product for those with oily, acne prone skin. It will help you in controlling the excess oil and sebum production. You will see a good difference in your pimples and acne issues as well. It actually works, cleanses your skin, makes it smoother, exfoliates and makes it clearer with daily use. However if you start getting very dry you can alternate this with other product to get desired results (thats what I do). Highly recommended for oily/acne prone skin!
