1. Chanel Bleu:
It has to be on the top of the list :-P as its my fav for men. The most seductive & irresistible cologne known for men. Its a woody aromatic fragrance with a provocative blend of citrus which liberate the senses. Its a tribute to the masculine freedom.  Quiet a fresh yet dark, inviting fragrance for go-getters. I gifted this perfume to a friend and he thanks me every-time he wear it, as he get compliments from both men & women. Get him this scent for 2 reasons:

  • It will be a hit present (You'll thank me for this)

2. Watch:
Well if it was possible we would always want to give our loved ones eternity. But as substitute its also a hit as it shows that you are giving them time and you want them in every moment of your life. Most of the guyz prefer digital watches. Choose the right one for your guy from tough n rough silicone band to elegant leather strap or chronograph watch.

3. iPad air:
As we all know men share an important & really devoted relationship with their gadgets :-P
According to a writer men would love getting a new iPad then connecting with a real human on intimate level. So what could be the better then giving him one, which he already wants?
For iPad air, you have to hold it to believe it. Its really thin & weighs as light as 1 pound. Its very portable & he would love to carry it. It will be hit  for guy from any category no matter if he is an entrepreneur or a sports freak.

Benetint by Benefits review

Everyone loves rosy cheeks & lips, and Benefits Benetint is the answer. I’m a big fan of all Benefit tints which I have tried. All of them are amazing & the colors are so wearable.  Whenever I visit Sephora or Faces I rush to the Benefit counter as the cute colors & display always attracts me.  After reading and hearing a lot about Benetint, I finally decided to pick this bestseller. It’s a rosy cheek & lip tint. It adds a rosy pinkish-red color tint to the cheeks the sexiest flush you can get from the bottle.
The product is not much pigmented; it’s rather thin but very tinted. You can layer it up to get more color. It’s my go to product for natural rosy glowing look. The product appears to be a dark burgundy shade but in application it’s much lighter & sheerer.  It absorbs in the skin & doesn’t make it oily or shinny. Even after layering up the color gets deeper but not overpowering & stays natural. It’s a perfect product to get no makeup rosy look! I absolutely love this product & its Fabulous.

Packaging:
The packaging of Benetint is similar to all other tints by Benefit. It comes in a cylindrical transparent bottle with a screw on cap. It’s quite comfortable & I love the nail polish type applicator. It absorbs the right amount of tint & makes it easier to apply. The packaging is small which is easy to carry in your purse for touch-ups. The bottle may appear small for the price but you won’t run out of it that quickly. It can last a year minimum which justifies the price.

Application:
For application you can either dot the tint on the apples of your cheek & blend or draw 3 lines. I prefer drawing lines as it gives me even coverage. But I have to apply it twice to get the right color on my skin.  I also prefer using it for my cheeks but if you apply lip-gloss on top it’s good to be applied as base. The consistency is thin so you have to blend it quickly after drawing the lines as it tends to dry & set fast. While applying or blending with your finger it leaves the color on your finger, to remove it use some makeup remover & wash with warm water.

Lasting:
It lasts for good 5-6 hours on lips including meals & upto 9 hours on my cheeks which is longer than any other flush. Since the color is soft it’s recommended to use with Benefit primers to make it last longer. It doesn’t wash off with water or because of sweat. You need to use makeup remover to remove it.

A word of caution about tints/stains:
Tints or stains should not be used on broken skin. If you have fresh breakout or acne do not use them, it will give uneven & patchy look.  You need exfoliated & moisturized skin & lips to apply them for best results. Also, be quick in blending them after applying it on your skin otherwise the tint will set within seconds and you will be left with bright streak of color across you cheek or lips.

What I liked:

  •   Original rose scent.
  •   Natural rosy colour.
  •  Easy application & blending.
  •  Stay good upto 8 hours.
  •  Doesn’t get patchy or uneven.
  • Doesn’t come off easily.
  • Doesn’t make your skin oily or shinny.

Final Verdict:
Benefit Benetint is a powerful product inside a small bottle. The sheer formula allows you control the color intensity & product blends in very easily. Giving you the beautiful natural rosy look. It doesn’t come off with water & sweat, which is a plus point for the weather like in KSA. It is suitable for all skin types & colors that’s why the product is highly recommended by me.

Grammy 2014 awards best looks, a fashion-filled night

56th ceremony of Grammy awards 2014 took place on 26th January,14 at Los Angeles . It’s a nighat of performances & looks. Stars rocked the night in nudes, whites, pinks & even some in cocktail dresses. The makeup was mostly soft paired with highlighted cheeks & natural pout, which I really loved. My top 5 looks from the awards are below with look details.

     1.    Katy Perry:
Known for wearing both weird and wacky outfits, Katy Perry was a head turner when she attended Grammy Awards 2014. She looked ethereal in this Valentino couture ensemble. Since her white, sheer gown was adorned with musical notes, I have to admit it was the most appropriate outfit for the occasion. Her sleek-back-high hair bun & cute signature baby doll eyes with cute falsies complimented her overall look.
The singer’s hair inspiration was Elizabeth Taylor. Her hairstylist created the flawless high twisted bun look by using Herbal Essence products . Her makeup was also classic glamour which was created by makeup artist Jake Bailey. He applied Cover Girl Bombshell Shine shadow in Gold Goddess to add some bronze look. And to complete the look he gave her pink pout by applying Cover Girl Lip Perfection in Heavenly.

     2.    Taylor Swift:
Talk about the star quality! The beautiful Taylor Swift wore a silver Gucci gown which was understated and made her look beautiful. She dropped her signature red lip & cat eyes and took on a more playful pink with a bluish-sliver eyeshadow to boot. I think this was a great fit with the Singer’s embellished neckline on her beautiful Gucci dress and diamond earrings & simple ponytail.
Her look was created by makeup artist Lorrie Turk. First she applied MAC Paintpot in Clear Water all over her eyelids followed by Kevyn Aucion shadow in Cool Smoke. The she added a bit of blue by using Trish McEvoy gel liner in Arabian Nights. For lashes she applied Armani Kill Mascara & the look was finished by a nude pink pout.

     3.    Beyonce:
I adore Beyonce even more for wearing this body-hugging Michael Costello outfit to Grammy Awards 2014.She stunned the red carpet with sexy sheer cutouts on all over her gown & Louboutin  pumps. No, the list wouldn’t have been complete without Mrs. Carter. Her ensembles wwere just perfect for the award ceremony. The makeup look was created by Francesa Tolot. Her soft smokey eyes with berry pout & perfect skin made her look like an ultra-chic.
Even though Bey has been rocking a longer weave, Beyoncé opted for a curly faux bob.Her long time hairstylist Kim Kimble created the look by Pantene-Pro-V  Curly, No crunch curls whip & to finish the look she sprayed Pantene Advance+ Keratin repair KeraGloss oul spray. She later turned that dry bob into a wet’n'wild number for her  ”Drunk In Love” performance with hubby Jay Z.

     4.    Pregant Ciara:
The star hit Grammy in stunning long-sleeved Emilio Pucci gown that showed her growing baby bump. It’s not only the dress which was shining; there is nothing more radiant then an expecting mother’s glow. A lot of you might be wondering why she is on my best-looks-list, but I actually loved her look. She worked the glow from head to toe while carrying a relaxing look.
It’s not just her pregnancy that gave her extra points but her makeup artist Yolonda Fedrick’s magic.  The look inspiration was a reflection of Ciara’s signature clean, flawless & bronzed tone soft contoured skin with metallic eyeshadow & hint of color on the lips for more drama.

      5.    Ariana Grande:
Ariana Grande stunned the fashionistas by wearing this Dolce & Gabbana strapless ensemble & and clutch with custom Aldo heels and jewels by Effy and Lorraine Schwartz. The star opted for floral-feminine frock that looked adorable on her petite frame.  The pint-sized singer was flawless from head-to-toe with a back-to-back makeup look  with simple eyeliner, bold lashes & beautiful soft pink lip that accentuated her natural beauty & her signature wavy half up-do.
Ariana’s nail were an oxblood red. Celebrity manicurist Kimmie Kyees used SpaRitual's Spread your wings for her pretty mani

Socialize while losing weight

Sticking to your diet in any situation is  a challenge.

Making healthy eating decisions daily can be enough of a struggle when you're the one planning & preparing all of your meals. What's even more of a challenge? Sticking to your weight loss plan in social situations--- Like weekends away with friends, birthday parties, weddings & business lunches- Oh my!

No matter what you're faced with, here's how to handle it with ease & still have fun.

1. Travelling on weekends:
Prepare as best as you can ahead of time. Pack healthy snack & breakfast for the duration of the trip. Allow yourself one treat a day, whether it's a glass of wine or small dessert after dinner. This way, you'll still feel like you're having splurges, but they'll be accounted for and controlled. Try exercise at least every other day by going on walk or doing some body weight exercises in your room.

2. Surviving business lunch:
If you have the opportunity choose where you'll be dinning, selecting a place that you know has healthier options - like a sushi restaurant or a place where you can get lean protein & steamed veggies. Do menu research online & decide Beforehand exactly what you're going to order. Then, stick to the plan, eating slowly & taking sips of water between bites. If your dining mates order dessert, ask for a fat-free cappuccino.

3. Staying in control at weddings:
Make sure you eat a healthy breakfast & squeeze in a workout that day. Don't arrive hungry; have a piece of fruit with protein before you go - like an apple with a slice of low-fat cheese. This will keep you satisfied when faced with fattening appetizers & alcohol during the cocktail hour. Load up on veggies for appetizer, drink a glass of water for every alcoholic drink you have, avoid entrees in cream-based sauces & choose fish for dinner if its an option.
Ask yourself, "Do I really need cake?" if the answer is yes, choose a small slice, and most importantly, go burn off loads of calories on the dance floor!

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara! review

Hello Beauties!

One of the makeup’s essential is mascara. Without applying mascara your eye look is incomplete whether it’s natural or dramatic. Today I’m reviewing Great Lash Big Mascara by Maybelline.
Great Lash has been out in the market for quite a time now & is available easily on Maybelline counters. Maybelline has re-released Great Lash mascara & gave it a bigger wand. In fact it has been ranked as #1 mascara by many magazines.
After using it I realized that the original Great Lash & new one are same in width & height. New Great Lash Big wand has been upgraded to a more modern & mainstream one whereas the older one looked cheaper to me.
With bigger wand it’s easy to apply it. The big brush with densely packed bristles separate each lash & gives them good volume. It really visibly thickens the lashes & elongates them as well. What more does a girl need from a mascara? It does not clump no matter how many times I pile on it. The formula is fairly thick and one needn’t wipe any excess off before applying it to the eyes, as the brush picks up only the required amount.
Removing the mascara sometimes is also a challenge for people with sensitive & weak lashes.  Most of them need so much effort; one has to wiggle & rub & press down & even at times end up losing an eyelash or two in the process. When I discovered that this was “washable” mascara I had to try it out to check that it stays true to its claim & boy oh boy, was I in for a delight! This mascara really comes off easily without doing much. Now I have to stress more on my liner, liquid or gel than on the mascara.
Another thing which I liked is, it doesn’t flake or smudges; not even on lower lashes. I got the one in blackest black color but don’t really make my lashes that blackest black as I was expecting. At the same time, however, you have to take into consideration that not all women like larger wands; especially ladies with smaller lids and lashes. Bigger wands are a mess for them. They also aren’t so friendly when trying to apply mascara in the corners of the eyes and on the bottom lashes. Let’s just say when attempting to do one of the two with Great Lash BIG, keep a Q-tip moistened with make-up remover nearby.

The packaging is cute & I bought this mascara because of the packaging but the formula didn’t really impress me as well as the bigger brush. It comes in neon pink & green packaging which is really girly. Still the packaging isn’t good enough as the sticker with the name on it peels off, rather than this they should have imprinted the tube with name. I find that because the tube opening is so large, I get excess mascara grim building up in there which is a total waste.
I would not say that I hate it, but definitely I’m not going to re-purchase it because the big brush doest suit my eye shape. While applying this mascara literally it seems like I have applied it to all over my upper & lower eye lids & crease. So really didn’t work for me.
I bought this mascara from Maybelline counter, Center point in Andulas Mall for 35 SAR which is not bad but for me not worth it. This is the first Maybelline product I’m really disappointed with. It’s good for the young 1’s who have just started with mascara as it is very basic & cheap.

Pros of Maybelline Great Lash Big Washable Mascara – Blackest Black:
§  It really elongates, thickens the lashes.
§  Does not smudge even on the lower lashes.
§  The big, dense brush, coats and separates each lash.
§  Cute packaging.
§  Does not clump even with multiple coats.
§  It comes off easily with any regular cleanser you already may be using.

Cons of Maybelline Great Lash Big Washable Mascara – Blackest Black:
§  The label on this comes off from the edges and the sticky underside gets dirty and it looks very unappealing! I wish they had placed it on more securely. I prefer my product to have secure labels as it is easy to repurchase or just know what I have and not look dirty.

For Best Results:
·        Sweep the Great BIG Brush from root to tip of lashes to build big volume.
·        Continue building volume until you achieve your desired look.
·        Do not let dry between coats.
·        Removes easily with soap and water or with eye makeup remover

Bow Braid Pictorial

Hello beauties!
I'm a big fan of braids & always looking for new things to spice up my braids love. Few weeks ago I saw a post on the web of a girl with an unique hairstyle; the bow braid! I had seen many different braid hairstyles but nothing like this one here! I tried hard to figure it out how to do it without a tutorial but didn’t had much luck. So I decided to look for a tutorial on the web so I could have a more clear idea on how to do it; and it was then when I saw this awesome bow braid tutorial that it is so easy to do and shows you step by step how to do it.
You will need medium/long hair length and some bobby pins. Yes, that’s all you will need for this gorgeous hairstyle. Start by making a “normal” braid on the side of your head such as shown in the picture. After creating the braid, then take different sections of hair and tie it on the braid in order to create the bow effect. Secure it with bobby pins and then go for another sections such as shown in the picture below. The key is to create the right bow, with the right amount of hair and to secure it at the right place but that’s why this tutorial is so awesome.
This hairstyle is perfect for weddings, beach, party’s, birthdays’ any occasion you might think of; or even just for fun. You can create it on your own hair or make it to your best friend, daughter, sister; and so on. Simply follow the steps shown in the tutorial and you will end up with the best bow braid hairstyle ever.

LG G2- The newest & innovative phone on the block

Hello reader!

I have been trying to write this review from last few weeks but couldn't because of my busy schedule. But finally today I took out the time to do this review & inform you with the recent launch from LG mobile phone before its gets old & a new LG phone hit the market.
LG has rolled out alot of high-end smartphones in the last one year. From the LG Optimus 4X HD, to the Optimus G and the Optimus G Pro, they all boasted the latest specs at the time & the only phone LG released that came close to getting them some much needed marketshare, was the ol’ Nexus 4.
Yes! Today's review is about the new kid on the smartphone's block, LG G2. I got to use this a couple of weeks ago & damn! for the first time I was really impressed with LG's phone. The newest flagship phone tries to beat other Androids in the market by boasting a much stronger battery life, a much improved display, larger screen, a much faster processor & tons of new software features thrown in.

The Design:

  • New & improved sleek cellphone design from LG.
  • Plastic constructed body.
  • Weights about 143 grams (5.04 oz) & body measuring 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9 mm (5.45 x 2.79 x 0.35 inches)
  • Thin bezels & new button-less screen/bezel look to fit better in your hand.
  • New pattern of Volume keys & Power/screen-lock buttons to be used more comfortably with index finger.
  • Has LED Flash with 13 Megapixel OIS camera.

Display:

  • The 5.2 inch advanced IPS LCD display.
  • Resolution of 1080×1920 pixels (423 ppi) and a standard RGB matrix, which results in a very sharp, clean looking screen, with great viewing angles.
  • Color reproduction is solid.
  • The screen is very bright, which means it’s very legible in daylight as well.
  • Home, Back & Menu control options are located on the screen.

Camera:

  • The LG G2 boasts a 13 Megapixel rear camera.
  • The first Android phone to include manual focus.
  • Includes optical image stabilization module, 9 multi-point auto-focus.
  • 1080p video recording at 60 frames per second.
  • A sapphire glass for superior protection with a anti-fingerprint coating.
  • Gives you option of different picture moods like Panorama, Dual shot,

Battery Life:
The LG G2 boasts a 3000 mAh battery, which can very easily last you can entire work day of heavy usage.
Under moderate usage, you might even get around two days of battery life, which is more than I can say for any other of today’s flagship phones, apart from the Galaxy Note 3.
The solid battery means that the G2 has a bit of thickness to it, but honestly we prefer battery life over a super thin profile. And it’s not like the added thickness makes the LG G2 harder to hold or use at all.

Hardware:
The LG G2 boasts the most powerful Qualcomm processor that’s currently available on the market, the Snapdragon 800.
It runs on a quad-core 2.2 Ghz Krait 400 cpu with Adreno 330 graphics, which all together means that the G2 can handle anything you can throw at it. The latest 3D games run smooth and quick, and there is no visible lag or slowdowns around the system, which means that the G2 is a pretty great performer.
Apart from that, there’s 2GB of RAM, and either 16 GB or 32 GB of internal memory, depending on your region. Unfortunately, LG chose not to include a microSD card slot or removable battery (or back panel) on the G2.
In term of connectivity, the G2 features LTE (depending on your region), HSPA+, 3G, 2G, Wifi, A-GPS, Glonass, NFC, DLNA, MHL and an infrared port through which you can control your TV or Home theatre system, using LG’s QuickRemote app.

Software:
The LG G2 runs Android 4.2.2 out of the box, heavily customized with LG’s UI on top. LG’s UI itself is highly customizable as well, which the manufacturer says is a much appreciated feature.

It should come as no surprise that the UI on the G2 looks very TouchWiz-like. You can tell what LG is going for these days. There’s lots of bright, vivid colors, and very dramatic animations, which all together make for an interesting experience. Thankfully it all flies smoothly on the Snapdragon 800 chip.

There are useful features built-in in though, like the ability to schedule a text message to be sent at a certain time, and there’s built-in smileys as well.At the end of the day, while the messaging app can be eccentric, it definitely gets the job done.
Coming to typing, the onscreen keyboard is pretty good, aided by the huge 5.2 inch display. The portrait keyboard is easy to type on, spacious and has a separate row of numeric keys whereas the landscape one isn't that comfortable.

Multimedia:
Moving on to multimedia, I’m not a huge fan of the built-in music player but it looks alright, and does an okay enough job.LG’s music player supports lossless audio, which should come as great news for some folks out there who want “studio quality” 24 bit / 192 kHz audio over 16 bit / 44.1 kHz.

Extra Features:
LG has also thrown in a whole bunch of software features with it’s flagship phone to dazzle consumers right out of the box. Some of them include:-
Knock On :- By far the most used feature on the G2, at least for me, was the ability to double tap on the screen to wake the phone and turn on the screen. You can also double tap on any dead space of the screen to screen-lock the phone and turn off the display. This comes in very handy if you can’t get used to the rear power keys.
Answer Me :- This is a simple little feature which basically allows your G2 to automatically answer a phone call if you just pick up the phone and hold it up to your ear. In case you hate pressing the answer key.
Guest Mode :- This allows for you to set two different lockscreen patterns, one for you and one for guests. The guest lockscreen pattern basically takes you to a new user profile for the phone, where you can restrict certain apps or prevent app purchases. It works well enough and can come in pretty handy if you have kids that like to lay around with your phone.
Slide Aside: - This is a clever feature of the G2, where you can swipe to the left with three fingers while you’re in an app, to place it into a saved state. You can put upto three apps into a saved state, and then access them at any time just by swiping right with three fingers. It isnt very comfortable to use, but it definitely helps with multitasking.
Text Link:- The G2 can also automatically check for links in text that you’re reading, on a webpage, etc, and can suggest appropriate apps to open them. For example, if you’re reading an email invite to a meeting, which has time and date information, the G2 will automatically suggest you use the calendar.
Capture Plus :- This allows you to capture everything on a page, not just take a screenshot. This allows you to save an entire web page, for example. I’m not entirely sure how useful this one is, but here it is.
And lastly, there’s Quick Remote :- LG’s quick remote is a clever little universal remote app for the G2, that makes use of it’s built-in IR-blaster. The G2 can learn patterns from any other IR remote controls, so you can program it to act as your garage door opener, air condition remote, all in addition to the usual TV controls.

What I liked:
  • The thinness & bezel free design.
  • Battery life <3
  • Improved display.
  • Incredible power
  • Guest mode :-P

What I didn't like:
  • New buttons location.
  • No Micro SD slot or battery removing.
Final Verdict:
One of the most powerful Android phones on the market right now, the LG G2 may not have the looks of its rivals -- its button placement could annoy some users -- but it has a fantastic display, superb battery life and a lightning-fast processor for quick & smooth operations. With the G2, LG has done a really, really great job, and it admittedly came as quite as a suprise to me. Overall a good phone for normal to heavy load use. There was so much I was shocked by & if you end up buying one please change the default ringtones ASAP :-P
