Major Drugstore Haul: Face

Dear Beauties!

Spending hours & hours at malls is one of our favorite thing to do. And who doesnt like going to the sales? Lately I have been addicted to go to the malls & shop (Guilty).  I have picked up alot of things during last 2 months & didnt get much time to share with you guys. Today I'm gonna write all about the drugstore products for face which I picked in my recent shopping sprees. I picked alot of products like foundations, concealers, powders, lippies, makeup pencils etc. This post is gonna be long but I hope you enjoy reading it & find it useful. Below are my first impression & short reviews of the products.

1. Rimmel Match Perfection foundation:
I have been looking for a good drugstore foundation which is light & gives good coverage. If you read my blogs daily you might know that I'm not a big fan of foundations & I'm more of a BB & CC cream kinda person. But while trying out the products I applied this foundation & I really liked it. It looks a little dewy with natural finish & unified skin tone.It gives a good sheer coverage but coverage is buildable. The texture is smooth & very runny for blending. It absorbs quickly into the skin & didn't make it oily or greasy. It also has SPF 18 which is always a plus point for me. This foundation works great on combination skins even on hot summer days.
This foundation also smells so fresh which reminds me of tulips. The packaging is good for the price, it comes in a glass bottle with blue lid & it has a pump which I liked. The coverage lasts for a good time & dust a little powder on your T-zone or where it is required & you are good for hours. Over all I really liked the product, its good for day to day wear.
This foundation comes in 12 different shades from the lightest Porcelain to darkest bronze, there should hopefully be a match for every one. I picked it in shade Sand 300 which is a beige/sand color, a little darker for me but gives a beautiful bronzy look to my skin. Definitely I'll recommend for daily & daytime usage. One of the best budget buy for the price & quality.

2. Rimmel Match Perfection Powder:
I also picked this Ultra Creamy Compact powder by Rimmel as it worked great with the foundation & is from the same line. It mattifies the skin & feels so light. I got this is color True Ivory which is a lighter color. This formula claims to be super blendable with Smart Tone technology that cleverly adapts to your skin natural tone & color. As it says the texture is really creamy but still keeping the powder compact properties. Because of its texture it blends into your skin & gives it a medium to sheer coverage. If applied separately, it gives a semi matte finish & really even outs the skin tone.
You can apply it on the foundation or if you have a good skin it will work great with only moisturizer or primer.
The packaging is quite nice, sleek & has a blue color to match the product line. It really protects the powder & comes with a mirror & sponge. the only problem is, it doesnt have an SPF. I look out for the products having SPF because you can protect your skin in one go & dont have to go through the hassle of many steps of separate applications.

3. Rimmel BB cream:
Ok I know. All of you have always heard me raving about Ponds BB cream. Trust me it is that good but last few months I ran out of it & wasnt able to find it any where. Then i came across this BB cream. It claims to be 9-in-1 skin perfecting super makeup which minimizes the pores, primes, moisturizes your skin, conceals & cover the spots or flaws, smoothed the look, mattifies it, brightens your complexion & helps in protecting your skin. I picked it shade light & I dont know if they have any shade lighter to this.  It comes in a 30ml tube which is good for the price. Also has an SPF25 which I loved.
The formula is thin & gives you a really good sheer coverage. Its the 2nd BB cream which has suited my skin & doesnt make my T-zone sweat like crazy or oily and shiny. I picked it, used it & loved it. It has a pinkish undertone which gives my face a really good natural look. I like the texture, its smooth & blends easily & I dont have to wear a moisturizer before it. It stays good for hours & keeps my skin looking fresh & flawless. I absolutely love it & wear it almost every day. The formula isnt that mattifying but it doesnt make skin oily so this works for me. I literally feel my skin is breathable after applying. Good  product for the price value, daily & day wear.  Definitely recommend it to combination and dry skin beauties.

4. Revlon Colorstay concealer:
I'm not much of a concealer person. I have a really good skin but because of my fair color my dark circles look really bad. I picked this concealer for my under eye area & to cover the dark circles. I have always noticed that using any product which has yellow undertone brighten ups my complexion. So I swatched so many concealers at the different counters & finally picked this one. I was not still sure about it & was insisting on buying a darker shade. But the sales girl recommended this color & I bought it. After trying it I really liked this concealer.
My eye area is really oily for some reasons but to my amazement it didnt crease at all. I worked perfectly with my BB cream & gave a good coverage for my dark circles. The formula is little thick but blends very easily & looks very natural.
This is my first concealer & I really love it. Such a good quality for the price you pay. Really good staying & covering power. trust me you'll not be disappointed. Definitely a really good drugstore concealer to try.

Here are the swatches for 3 products. These were my drugstore products for face which I picked. Have you tried any of them? or do you have any recommendations? please let me know by leaving a comment below. I hope that you enjoyed reading it. I will be posting more product review shortly so keep coming back.

Thank you for reading.
Love you

Fall 2014: 7 must have fashion trends

Hello fashion lovers!

The month of fashion has ended & new season is just around the corner. the cozy knit, over-the-knee-boots & everything else makes the fall fashion so much fun. Kick start your fall shopping & read below what's keeping you warm for the upcoming season. I'm listing below my favorite 7 trends from fashion runway.

1. All over knit:
For fall knits, nothing is too big or too intricate, and that's the way we like it. From cozy pants, that promise to alleviate the need of tights, to similarly warm varieties from many designers clarified that knit doesn't belong to the top half only.  All knit in neutrals to deep colors were seen on Celine, Marc Jacobs, Stella Mc Cartney & Haider Ackermann.

2. Feline femininity:
This winter will be feline or not?
Again you say?
well, yes indeed! One of the safest bet of this winter fashion trend will be animal prints. It was seen all over the places. Bold & timeless pieces were visible at Haute Couture, Catwalks & Fashion shows & I'm really delighted to know that its still in. The different flirty, sumptuous & rocking versions were seen at Chloe, Saint Laurent & Hedi Sliman.

3. Optical Monochrome:
Say so long to the tropical & floral prints of summer, this fall's print packs psychedelic punch. Illusion monochrome played host to a range of outwear, dresses, shirts & sweaters on the fall runway. Playing tricks on the eyes, these prints pulse as loudly as the electronic beats. This trend was very visible at Balmain, Bottega Venetta & Dries Van Noten.

4. Capes:
Whether scarlet, embroidered with pearl or delicate designs, paired with a furry hood or straight from a fairytale, the capes are outwear piece of choice for fall 2014. It provides an alluring cocoon with echos of fairytale trend seen at many shows like Valentino, Dolce & Gabana etc. Not only at a show but celebs & fashionistas cant stop showing them off. Nothing can be more chic than throwing on a cape whether you are wearing a light dress or a trouser and a top on a warm day or layer it up when it gets even chiller. You cant go wrong with this trend. It has been a while since capes are stealing the spotlight.

5. Military Khaki:
Its time to step in line as military hit the runway for Fall 2014. As khaki as the dominating color, the rules & rigors of the army captured designer's attention. Inspiring a fashion solider's uniform of stricter silhouettes & structured looks were visible at the Balmain, Calvin Klein & Isabel Marant.

6. Dresses over pants:
Who wants to just wear a dress anymore? No one. Its just too easy. For next season designers are challenging us to wear dress over the pants.  This trend was presented Celine, Balenciaga, Kenzo & Giorgo Armani.

7. Fur Real:
Fur is pretty inevitable for  fall fashion. This season, designers experimented with new shapes. This wnter classic became extraordinary when presented at Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen & many more. Wild influences, patchwork effect & flashes of vibrant red update the rule of classic & eternal fur coat.

So here were my favorite picks for the hope. I hope that you enjoyed reading them. What are your favorites for this fall? Which style are you going to follow? Please let me know in the comment section below.

Hello beauties!

We are in the end of October & its already chilled outside. With the fashion trends there is always something new with the beauty for every season. This season lipstick lovers look away, because this fall makeup attention is all about eyes. Also, the ever fresh look remained popular with clever sculpting & definition for a perfect bare-face look. For hairs ballerina buns, topnots, textured ponytails were on top. Keep reading to get the details for completing your look for this fall.

Eyes:
Bold colors, thick & winged eyeliners & eye makeup were seen with bold brows. Bottom line drawing was the key to achieve the perfect eye look for the season.  A touch of metallic on inner corners or overall eyes was also very visible at Donna Karan, Emporio Armani & many others. Doll like spider lashes took over the show at Gucci, Versace, Prada & many others. This season eyes are all about pushing the limits with bold colors.

Lips:
Lips are mostly nude this season. 70s inspired matching eyeshadow & lips were seen at few runways shows like Donna Karan, libertine & Emporio Armani. Lips were left natural flushed or balmy with the over all focus on eyes at Saint Laurent, Versace & Gucci.

Face:
Flawless skin was enhanced with fresh cheeks & no trace of any imperfection at shows such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein & many others. On some runways complexions were left seemingly nude & bare-faced like Stella McCartney, Balenciaga & Sam Paul.

Hair:
Along with heavy eye makeup & glowing skin there was a retro vibe at Oscar De La Renta, Gucci, Saint Laurent & Moschino, for hairs. Ballerina buns returned to the spot light with naturally wavy & tousled hairs. Some high top knots, wet buns & undone updos were also spotted at runways like Altuzara, Lanvin & Prada. Glossy ponytails were presented with razor sharp middle or side partings seen at Balmain & Valentino. Another hot trend was straight from the sea mermaid waves worn with side partings to add more texture.

Nails:
Every season I ask the question to my self," Is the nail art trend dead?" Hell no!
This fall half moons, matte topcoats & almond shaped talons awaits you. Navy blue, purple, blood red, classic nude, chocolate brown, gray, teal, burnt orange & metallic colors are hot this fall for nails.

Fall 2014: Must have shoes

Hello Shoe-aholics!

As the Autumn starts & the opportunity for the days spent on beach side starts to wind down, there comes the time to trade the sand-strewn sandals of summer for shiny & warm footwear. As the temperature drops boots become a go-to-footwear & the best part of fall is shoe shopping. With so many option we find ourselves confused about what to use. From shiny leather, to thick soles & from printed flats to strappy heels you have 6 major shoe trends to select from this fall that suits you best & will keep your look updated.

1. Sneakers:
Good news for me or may be for many of you, High-Tops, Low-Tops or Slip-ons, sneakers are big this fall. Fashion insiders & celebrities alike are sporting the sneakers with their chicest outfits making them an essential for fall 2014. With the abundance of styles & designs in the stores you can pick the best that suits you. this will be my favorite shoe trend for this fall as I have been eyeing on few pairs before September & was waiting for this month to end. But now surely I'm going to pick few pair which I wanted.

2. Strappy heels:
While there are many shoe trends for the fall, one style that almost every woman could use in her wardrobe is a great pair of strappy heels. the timeless style is always reinvented & this year is no different. What do i love about it? Bold straps & tiny stilettos add an instant chic look to any outfit. Whether they are paired with jeans or a sleek cocktail dress, they always add very fashionable look to your outfit. Mostly laceup were seen during the Spring/Summer 2014 & the trend is to be continued during Fall 2014. They can be sexy, fun, flirty, casual or formal depends on how you wear them.just make sure you have good pedicure to go with them.

3. Mary janes:
Who would thought have a Mary Jane will be a coolest shoe trend for Fall 2014? Well, including Saint Laurent many designers did.Mary Jane is a retro throwback & may be you remember them from your childhood. This year ladies are taking this little shoe & wearing it in a very grown up & sexy styles. Mary Jane is one of the latest shoe trend for Fall 2014 & they are a good combo of femininity & innocence in one chic trend. They can be worn to the office with a black pencil skirt & white button down shirt for a sexy yet sophisticated look.

4. Lace up boots:
Really tall lace up boots have been featured by many world's designer in fall 2014 runway shows. There are many variation in to the typical lace up boots & were more on a masculine side. Running shoes were also evolved to the lace up shoes at the Chanel show. So buying a pair is like a kick start to your fall wardrobe & fun & sporty way to style your outfits.

5. Lug soles:
So we all know that trend comes & go & most of the time end up coming back. Lug soles were mostly used for heavy duty boots such as for hiking & work. Now, lug soles have left the mountains sides & hitting the city sidewalks. They were a trend in 90s & again made a come back at the runways of Fall 2014. Here are few what I liked.

6. Over the knee boots:
"This is for the fahion daring", Says the Rachel Zoe.
These boots look great with oversized chunky knitted sweaters. this is one winter staple accessory which every woman needs in their wardrobe.  There were many styles in over-the-knee-boots. From slouchy to straight & from suede to shiny leather were seen on many fashion shows. They can look chic, elegent or stylish depends on which outfit you style them with. The riding boots look very classy & can be worn anywhere, because they are the most comfiest & they can be worn with everything.
P.S: I Love these.

Every season new trends come & go but some of these are always a staple accessory to add to your wardrobe. But I dont know if you guyz feel the same but this year atleast for shoes, sport was a visible element. These were few most styles popular styles of runway for the upcoming season. I hope all of you have enjoyed reading this post as much as I did in writing this. I'm definately buying few more pairs to rock this fall. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions for me? Please let me know by leaving a comment in the section below.

Garnier's Light Under Eye Dark Circle Fairness Cream

Hello Beauties!

Today's review is about my first ever eye cream. I have never used any eye cream or treatment before this product. But recently I learned how important it is to use a separate eye products as our eyes are sensitive then our face skin. In past few months I have been looking for few skin care products that can be worn on daily basis & has SPF to protect my skin. I came across this product & thought of giving it a try because most of the time I really dont feel like putting on the makeup.

It is said that eyes are the windows to your soul & you can tell a person's age by just looking at their eyes. Some can tell you age accurately & some can be dead wrong its all depends on the area around your eyes. the Dark circles or wrinkles caused by lack of sleep or other stress can make you look much older then your actual age. Its very Important to keep your eyes well hydrated & dark circles-free.
Today in this review I'm talking about the Garnier's Light under eye dark circle  fairness cream.
It claims to reduce the dark circles & spots which make your eye look dull or dark. It also prevents them from further darkening.

This product improves the eye contour's micro-circulation to reduce the appearance of dark circles. This formula contains SPF 15 to protect the fragile eye zone against harmful daily rays & prevent fine lines. It is enriched with pure lemon essence & long dan extract to lighten the dark circles & dark spots. The eye contour skin becomes more smoother & uniformed. The visibility of dark circles & spots become lesser with luminous & healthy glow.

The consistency of this product is thick & at times become sticky. Its a lightly fragrances formula in a handy & convenient tube.

My take on the product:
I Love Garnier products & loved using this cream. The god thing is it doesnt make my eye area greasy or oily & absorbs very fast. I use it in my night routine & it really helped in lightening my dark circles. I have a fair complexion & had very dark circles. This product really helped in lightening the. I also used it before putting on my eye make & it didnt made it oily or made it to crease or smudge. It can be used as an under eye primer to moisturize your under eye area.
The packaging size is good for the price & very convenient. It really lightened my dark circles but I noticed as soon as I stopped using it they were back.

Up sides:
  • Reduces dark circles & spots.
  • Keeps your eyes hydrated & non greasy.
  • Easy to use & travel friendly size.
  • Good quality at less price.
  • Very fast absorbing

Down sides:
  • It becomes sticky sometimes.
  • If you discontinue to use your dark circles will be back, not a permanent solution.
  • It burns my eyes so much. Its an eye cream which has to be delicate.
  • Not helpful for eye puffiness or bags.

Final Verdict:
If you are looking for a good eye cream at low price then Garnier's Light Under Eye Dark Circle Fairness cream is your answer. It really helps reducing them but if you discontinue to use it they will be back. Over all a good product for the price & ill definitely recommend it for those having dark circles.

My September Favorites 2014

Hello Beauties!

I hope you have had the splendid September. For me September was the luckiest month of this year, Alhamdulillah. I did alot of shopping, got my hands on many sold out products, major makeup & other hauls to share & then crazy birthday celebrations. As it has come to an end now I'm waiting to be blessed with Hajj & celebrating Eid. I wish you all a very blessed Hajj & happy Eid. Well I know I have skipped my August favorites but I have been doing alot of changes in the products I use & specially in my skin care & body care routine. There is alot to share with my readers &  for now my September favorites are here.

1. Garnier Dark Circle Lightening Cream:
I Have used alot of Garnier products & they are pretty good. This cream is my first ever eye product. I have a very tough work routine & I cant get 8 hours sleep. I have a fair complexion & very dark circles under my eyes which makes me look so sick & horrible at times. I picked this product randomly as I was working out on my skin routine products. I have been using it since 2 months almost & this product actually works for me. When I use it regularly I really see the difference in my dark circles. This product lightens the skin under my eyes. I have also used it as a primer before my BB cream or foundation, it works great. this product is non-greasy. But if you stop using it your under eye area will again become dark. Read my complete review here.

2. Dove Silky Nourishment:
I have been using the Vaseline body lotions from a very long period & I absolutely love them. But this month I though of changing my moisturizing routine & opted for a cream. This product suits me & doesn't leave my skin greasy or oily. it makes my skin luxuriously soft & silky. This cream is so light weighted & has a whipped cream like texture. It absorbs into the skin very quickly & leaves the skin very hydrated for the day. I also noticed that I'm not having any dry patches any more on my skin. Love the product & definitely i'll repurchase in future.

3. Sweet Experience by MAC Playland Collection:
This lippie is a milky vibrant pink with yellow undertones. This is the only product I got from the MAC Playland Collection. Its a light pink shade with amplified finish. Its opaque but little bit goes a long way. Texture is creamy & easy to work with. I preferred wearing it at daytime but I loved wearing it with smokey eyes at night times. Looks perfect on fair to medium complexion. The formula is neither drying nor hydrating. Its a limited edition color so I'll use it very carefully. I never use a color this light, but this one amazed me & looked so pretty. Definitely loving this lippie.

4. Wella Pro Series Frizz Control Shampoo:
I have very rough & unruly hairs. My hairs are frizzy & hard to style or even manage. When I saw this shampoo I was tempted to buy because of its color & Frizz control tag. I have been using this shampoo from last 6 month & absolutely love it. I don't see myself reaching for any other shampoo. I tried few other brands but I had a major hair fall issue. This shampoo works for me & helps controlling the frizz in my hair & makes them manageable. It also has a yummy fruity fragrance.

Sp these were my favorites for the month of September. What did you like throughout the month? And do  you have any product recommendation for me? Let me know in the comment section below the post. I hope that you have enjoyed reading it. Keep checking for some major hauls ;-)

xoxo
