Too Faced Bonjour Soleil Palette

Hello beauties!

I hope you all are enjoying the last month of this year. I'm here with another beauty product review & I hope you all enjoy it. Its a little late as summer has gone but I myself use bronzers throughout the year for getting a beautiful glow or for contouring.


My readers know that I'm a sucker for cute, colorful & limited editions packaging. It was the packaging of this palette that drew me into this product at first but I m happy that I made this purchase. The packaging is fun like a vacation in my makeup collection.


Its a new limited edition palette from Too faced that features 3 famous bronzers from the brand. Each bronzer is "Cocoa Infused" with textures ranging from mattes to shimmery. All these beautiful bronzers are housed in a metal tin which also includes a flat-topped kabuki brush. If you wanted to try Too faced bronzers or use bronzer in your routine then the palette is a great value, as you get three different textured bronzers to try out, each a little less than half a size of a full-sized product.


It will take quite a while to get through any of these shades even with daily use. It truly is a bronzing wardrobe as it gives you variety of textures & versatility for different looks. It comes with a small leaflet for achieving those beautiful different bronzed looks & to my surprise they are actually very helpful for getting that "Bronzed Goddess" look.



Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer:
Its a medium to dark, neutral to warm toned brown matte bronzer. The shade has amazing color pay off. The texture is soft, silky & blends amazingly. I was surprised on the first sweep of brush, it looked gorgeous on my skin & I dont have to build it up. It works great for contouring, looks very natural & not too dark. this color is available permanently at all Too Faced counters. It stays for good 7 hours before starting to fade out.

Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer #1:
This shade is best described as a rich satin bronze. Its a medium-dark orange bronze with warm gold frost finish. The texture is smooth, blendable & the best part, it doesn't emphasize on the pores. Staying power is good & it lasts about 7 to 9 hours & then starts to fading out.


Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer #2:
This shade has beautiful light-medium, gold shimmer orange tone with soft pearly sheen. It can be described as "satin suntan". The color pay-off isnt intense or rich & can be layered up if required. The texture is soft, silky & blends very easily.



Snow Bunny Luminous Bronzer:
This one is described as "golden bronze, delicate pink, golden-white & fawn glimmer" swirled together. Its a lightened golden bronze with a frosted sheen. The texture is soft, smooth & very blendable. It is super pigmented & best for highlighting your face & cheeks. I use it swiped all together or sometime separately to match the makeup look. The white & pink ones look so beautiful for nose and forehead. they also stay for good 8 hours & at the mid of the day they some what emphasizes on the pores. This shade is also available permanent;y at Too Faced counters.




Overall its a great product to have & its very travel friendly. it looks so beautiful with very funky nautical kinda packaging.  If you are a bronzer lover & want to get that bronzed look this palette is your answer.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Hello Makeup-Addicts!

I was not much into eye makeup couple of years back but lately I'm digging into it. I always opt for different separate eyeshadows & never bought a complete palette. Because I always feel that there are many shades which I'm not going to use at all. But then my eyes got on this beautiful eye palette from Too Faced. Yes! today's review is about the hit palette of the year, Chocolate Bar Palette.


Lets take a moment & look at this beauty. Isn't it the bestest chocolate bar your eyes have ever seen?
Not that it looks so mouth watering but it smells divinely of rich chocolate that makes you feel like eating it.  Which chocolate lover would mind having it?


This palette is very versatile & has a good variety of shades, tones & colors.  It has a nice mix of shimmer, satin & matte shades which can be worn in thousand different looks. A great combo of neutrals with few pop of colors that can be worn from daily basis to party looks. The palette has beautiful golds, light browns, dark browns & orangey browns that can be worn everyday. But it also has some non traditional colors like cranberry, royal purple & shimmery dark green which can be added to create many different looks.



The quality of the eyeshadow is phenomenal, they look powdery on pan but blends so well & doesn't fallout. They are really pigmented & has great color pay off. Beside the fact that it is made out of cocoa the shades have amazing quality not chalky at all. I love how they gave a larger portion of highlight colors so you can get a larger life from palette as highlighting colors are used in almost every look. The shimmer is of satin finish nothing like big chunky glitter.




It definitely worth all the hype & I saw alot of beauty gurus & youtubers raving about it. I feel its the most versatile, beautiful & neutral palette available in the market which I used for summers & looking forward to use in fall as well. . If you are looking for something you really going to use I would suggest you to buy this one. Recently I have seen a newer version of this palette named Semi-Sweet Chocolate palette is coming out soon & I'm really looking forward to buying & using it.

Well in short, if you think you have enough neutral palettes/shadows, buy it. If you think you've got enough, still buy it & if you want that one palette, definitely buy it!

November Favorites 2014

Hello beauties!
So the month of November has finished & the last month of this year has started. The weather around Jeddah was great during November, rainy & cold. I really enjoyed it with alot of Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks & alot of pumpkin candles in my room. I was really expecting December to be colder but Oh-Well! its Jeddah I live in.
I wish you all a very happy winters, holiday season & a very happy new year in advance. I'm looking forward to a new year party I'm organizing on 70s theme with my ladies club members. I hope you all have a splendid December. Below are some of the products I enjoyed beside the candles & lattes.




1. Benefit BB cream Big & Easy:
My readers know that I love Benefits products & always fall for their products. Benefit Bene-Tint is one of my favorites to get that rosy lips & cheeks look.  I got this BB cream in a sample size from Faces in some Instagram picture showing contest. I didn't try it for a very long while & just kept it because the small packaging was too cute to use. But a month or 2 back I ran out of my favorite BB cream & while I was on search of finding new favorite BB I started using it. This BB cream gives you cream to powder finish. It definitely looks flawless & has great coverage.


The small tube was enough for 4 applications (Yes! that tiny tube). Small amount is enough for covering the face & it stays for good 4 hours. I tried it at different times & liked the results but I expect it to stay for a little longer as I don't want to do touchups. Also at the end of the day it makes my skin very oily and I don't use any face powder or setting powder for daily makeup. I'm not planning on purchasing a regular size as I can get other better product but you never know.



2. Ponds Age Miracle Face wash:
This face wash really is a miracle. It exfoliates your skin without leaving it dry or patchy. I have been using other face washes from Ponds but this 1 is top on top. its very gentle yet effective. Cleanses really well without leaving any oil or makeup residue. I have been using it in my PM routine to remove all dirt, oil & makeup. Has helped alot in controlling lines & improving the skin radiance. highly recommended for daily use. Read more here.



3. Ponds Age miracle Night cream:
Its my first ever night cream & hoping it to be the last as its simply great. I had to have a night cream which can help in reducing some fine lines from my forehead & the time I realized, I knew I wanted only this cream. I'm loving it so far it has helped alot with the fine lines & moisturizes my skin really well. I have noticed my complexion has improved alot & it looks more fairer & radiant. 4. Ponds Age miracle eye duo cream:
Another miracle product of the month & its also from Ponds. This eye duo cream is amazing. It does wonders for my tired puffy eyes. You can see the difference after first application. It works great for dark circles & reduces my eye puffiness. It has helped alot in stopping the appearance of fine lines around my eyes & has improved the skin texture around them. I apply it 3 to 3 times in a week at night with other ponds cream. I have seen great results & you definitely should give it a try. I like how they have separated 2 creams i.e upper eye gel texture cream & under eye cream in same container. you need a dot sized amount to apply it. 5. MAC Kelly Yum Yum:
I love nude lips mostly but sometimes its good to change the shade & show your bold side. I'm a fan of fuchsia & magenta shades after nudes & reds. Bright 7 bold colors do look good on me & compliments my skin complexion. I tried the Candy Yum yum which has been a good pink but more of a day color. I saw many beauty gurus swatchin g this lipstick & when I saw this on beautiful Tamana Roshan I had to pick this. It looks so beautiful on my skin & goes well will loads of lashes & doll look. It has cool blue undertones & it works for almost every skin tone. Its more wearable then Candy Yum Yum & gives you a satin finish which lasts 4 to 5 hours. Completely in love with this shade. 6. Narciso Rodriguez:
This is one of my favorites & have been a signature perfume from the time I got it. i tell this to everyone that its a must have for every lady. It smells so classy, soft & musky warm. I love the combination of dried down rose, musk & sandalwood in this fragrance which makes it feminine & add a little warmth. These days the weather calls for such a fragrance. Its not too strong msuky but still very noticeable powdery-musk. it blends in your skin & warms up real quick to give you ever lasting fresh fragrance. I always get compliments wearing it & its not been a single time that someone didnt notice or asked for its name. I still have a good amount left & definitely ill repurchase it before I go out of it. 7. MAC Media:
As the winter starts we opt for more warmer shades & who doesn't like the vampy lips? I love darker lip shades in winters with a little or no eyeliner & mascara. They look really great with my complexion & makes me look more fairer. This lipstick also have a satin finish & I love wearing it for the night time when I'm out for dinner or cafe. Its a perfect berry plummy lip shade that combines purple with burgundy tones which can be worn as a lippie or can be used as a stain. the formula is great & it doesnt dry up or make your lips look chapped. if you are looking for a sexy deep wine shade then you have your answer. one of my favorite shade for this fall.

MAC Osbournes Collection-2014

Hello beauties!

We all makeup addicts live for any limited edition collection that comes from MAC. Osbournes collection was one of the hit collection of the season & we got to see some really great products. It was basically a collaboration with mom & daughter. The mother's collection is very modest & daughter's collection is daring just like her. The collection was sold out everywhere online & in stores. I picked a few really beautiful products & I still regret the things I missed. So I'm ready to put my Osbournes on!



This collection had 2 different colored & very beautiful packaging. I love how contrasting, yet still the colors are very complimentary. They exchanged the colors of signature which tied the whole collection together. Such a cute & fun limited edition packaging from MAC.


 I got my hands on 3 products, 2 lippies from Kelly's collection & a MSF from Sharon's. I still feel so bad about missing out the other lippie shade from Kelly's collection & a blush from Sharon's. Oh well! cant do anything now. But I'm very happy to have these products as they are beyond wonderful & the packaging killed it.

Lippies:

I picked 2 lippies from the collection, Kelly Yum Yum & Riot House. I missed the Dodgy girl & I don't know why I didn't buy it at my first visit. These lippies have the same fragrance as other MAC lippies. The packaging is cute & of good quality.





Kelly Yum Yum is a bright blue pink with Satin finish. Its highly pigmented & last hours. Glides on smoothly & looks super gorgeous on the lips. Its a vibrant medium fuchsia with cool blue undertones, slightly leans to magenta. Its a opaque color pay off & the formula is neither drying nor hydrating. the color looked beautiful on almost skin tones. This shade is more wearable then the Candy Yum Yum.




Riot House is described as a light vivid orange which is a beautiful & very light peachy-nude. It has warm undertones with matte finish. The texture is very creamy which makes the application easy but the formula is drying & sets into fine lines. I will advise to make sure your lips are exfoliated & well moisturized or for better results use lip primer. Its a beautiful peachy-nude but still light for my skin tone. I cant wear it on normal days but it will work great with heavy smokey eyes. It will look great on light skin tones & gives full coverage.

Mineralize Skin Finish in Refresh:

The only product I picked from the Sharon Osbourne's collection is this MSF. This pretty MSF duo contains 2 shades which can easily be considered a bronzer & a highlighter. The bronzer can be described as a peachy-summer tan & highlighter is golden-pink. The bronzer has Yellow brown with warm orange undertone with satiny sheen. It has good color pay off & the formula isn't too powdery.


 Its very blendable , pigmented & stays for good 5 hours. The highlighter is a champagne peach with warm undertones & frosted sheen. It looks so beautiful on the skin & makes it look glowy. It does emphasis on pores & imperfections (If any). The packing is so cute & I picked it only because of the red colored packaging. But the product it self is really good & gives me a very natural bronzed look.





I'm pleasantly surprised with MAC's Osbournes collection. Ofcourse the packaging promised for a fun ride but sometimes with MAC collections, the product quality can end up being a disappointment. These products were all but that. I loved each & everything I have. Colors are super wearable & fun. I loved the Kelly Yum Yum lippie.

Ponds Age Miracle range review

It is said that as you turn 20 you should start using an eye cream & after 25 you should take care of your skin really well for the fine lines & wrinkles. Recently I have been noticing few lines over my forehead & I was really concerned about them. Though I have a really good & clear skin but I noticed that few fine lines are appearing on my forehead area. I love using ponds products as they always suits my skin & I absolutely love Ponds BB cream than any other foundation or alphabetic cream.
I instantly knew what I wanted & I ran to the store to pick few products of this range. I got a facial wash, a night cream & an eye cream. I used these products for a good month or more & now I feel its a good time to share my experience with you guys.



1. Ponds Age Miracle Cell ReGEN facial foam:
I have been using this face wash for last 2 months. I used it in my PM routine for cleansing my face & removing makeup to apply the night cream. I have noticed that this face wash is very gentle from my Ponds Flawless White face wash. It smells really fresh & flowery. It cleanses thoroughly to get rid of makeup & other dirt from your skin without making it dry or flaky. It has micro granules to exfoliate the skin  which leaves my skin very smooth & newer looking. They exfoliates your skin well without being harsh on it & give a scrubbing feel to your skin.
My overall skin complexion has improved, it has reduced the dullness  & made my skin look radiant.  The formula is great it cleanses the skin without taking away the moisture from it. The texture of the face wash is of a very creamy consistency & is white in color. A pea sized amount is sufficient for one use. Few of my friends reported that this really does clean their skin, remove impurities & is very effective on the black heads too. It works good for both oily & combination skin. I use & will recommend you to use it with other products from the same range for best results.
I will always keep it in my PM routine & of course definitely repurchase if I run out.



2. Ponds Age Miracle Overnight Repair Dream night cream:
I have to say I'm absolutely in love with Ponds this night cream. This is my first ever night cream & when I realized that I have to get 1 I exactly knew that I wanted this. It is designed to fight the ageing sings in an overnight repair treatment. the texture is very rich & mousse like. After application it absorbs quickly & leaves the skin insanely smooth, When I wake up I feel my skin visibly youthful & radiant.
This cream minimizes the fine lines & prevents them from appearing. It diminish the signs of  ageing & works overnight while you take your beauty sleep. It also prevents the dullness & improves overall radiance of your skin while maintaining the texture, tone & elasticity of your skin. The formula is great & has some really impressive ingredients. It contains Alpha hydroxy which acts as an exfoliator to shed the dead cells. It also contains the Retinol which is a primary ingredient to help fight the fine lines, wrinkles, smile lines, scars & pimples. The cream is a lil pinkish-white & smells so fresh. This cream can also be used as a primer because it contains dimethicones which fill in the pores & fine lines to give your that even looking skin.

Overall its a great product without being too thick that makes it work for oily to combination skin. After a month good use I can say this product is worth every penny & my fine lines has reduced alot. It gives my skin that matte finish I love, works great as my primer & has helped alot on my fine lines. Highly recommended!



3. Ponds Age Miracle Dual action eye cream:
Its a dual eye cream for upper lid & under eye area. Each one of them has different effects & textures to suit both areas well.  The cream is really great in size & 2 different creams are arranged in 1 packaging for ease. You dont have to open 2 different products or go extra steps. The white is for under-eye area & claims to reduce puffiness, brighten dark circles & fine lines. Though the texture is very thick but it absorbs amazingly without leaving it greasy or sticky. It has a slight tint which instantly brighten up the under eye circles but next day in the morning I realized that there is a little blue colored shimmer (which I have no idea what it is supposed for).
The pink part, however is supposed to be used for your upper lid. It has collagen & chamomile extracts mixed with anti-aging properties to reduce wrinkles & crow feet. The texture is a mix of gel & emollient, not oily but more like an eye primer.
After using it I realized that it has really helped in with my under eye fine lines & dark circles. I dont need much of concealer & I look good without putting any makeup. It has helped alot with the puffiness as well. I'm enjoying this product & if you have crossed your teens i'll recommend you to use it & see the results for yourself.

I'm so glad that I picked these products from the Ponds. I'm really enjoying these products & trust me I have no issues or complains about them. All of them are working really great for me & after using these I know the other products from same range will be effective too. I'm surely going to pick the other products of this line & use them. I absolutely love Ponds products. Use them for yourself & see what i'm talking about.

My October Favorites 2014

We all said our good-byes to October & the spooky nights. Trick or treat -ing is done & now we all know that there wont be any holidays coming for us anytime soon here in Jeddah. With the start of November the weather has changed alot & I'm loving it. Its a perfect weather to see sunset & enjoy a cup of warm Pumpkin Spice Latte (New found love). Well with the end of every month comes a favorites post. Below are the products I loved using through out the month of October.

1. Vaseline Even Tone lotion:
I mentioned this earlier in my September Favorites post that I have been on a mission of finding the new products & improving my skin care routine. I dont put on makeup every morning but I prefer stepping out with a protected & healthy looking skin. While looking for different products I came across this Vaseline Even Tone Body Lotion & when I read about it I was impressed about the formula. I though of giving it a try & it worked pretty great. It really makes your skin even toned, healthy & radiant as it is packed with vitamin B3 & other skin nutrients. It also has a UV protection. So I prefer wearing it in the mornings & as a moisturizing base for my makeup. Definitely recommended for daily use & ill re-purchase.



2. Nivea Daily Essential cleanser & toner:
I love using this cleanser & toner for removing my makeup. It leaves my skin soft & helps removing my makeup better. I dont use it on daily basis but I love using it when i have eye-makeup on. it has this typical Nivea chemical typo smell but it works fine. You just have to apply it in circular motion over your face 7 wash your face with water. it leaves your skin feeling smooth & refreshed. I'm planning on doing a detailed review of this product sometime soon. But an average product good for daily use & yes at some point if I need i'll repurchase.


3. Bourjois contour clubbing waterproof pencils:
I cant say enough good things about these pencils. they are super pigmented & glides on smoothly. They doesnt smudge or transfer. I have been in love with these lately & I love layering it over my eyeliner or on my lower lash. They also has super color pay off with a light shimmer. I have this pencil in 2 shades & I love both of them. the black is super black which I use as eyeliner & the brown is a super beautiful metallic brown which is a must have color. Highly recommended & Yes ofcourse I'm going back to pick few more colors. read my complete review here. 



4. Rimmel Eyebrow pencil:
I have really light eyebrows & for month I dont even have to pluck them. Still I like using eyebrow products as I love thick & framed look. I picked this pencil in a recent drugstore haul & I absolutely love using it. The formula is soft enough to be applied but sets really well without smudging or transferring anywhere on the skin. It stays on my brows through out the day. A really great product at such a great price. Best for everyday wear & available in variety of shades. Must try.



5. Please me by MAC:
All of you know that I love MAC lippies & I'm such a big fan of them. In my recent visits to the store I picked a few MAC products from their limited edition collections & few lippies for fall. I wanted to buy this shade but I dont know why I didnt buy it earlier. One of my friend gifted it to me & I started using it right away. its a perfect shade for my skin tone. I love wearing it for daytimes & daily basis. Gives me that fresh & feminine look. Its a perfect pale-pink which is not too-barbie-pink but still a very wearable shade of pink. It will look great on fair to medium skin tone. It has a matte finish & stays on my lips for good 6 to 8 hours. The only thing is you have to apply on a very well moisturized lips otherwise it looks really chalky & chappy. Its a must have lip shade for every matte & pink toned lipstick lovers.



6. Dior Show Iconic Over Curl mascara:
I cant write enough good things about this mascara its amazing. I got it in a sample size from Sephora. The first time I used it I instantly fell in love with the mascara. It gives your lashes a very notable volume & length. Its super black & is perfect for doll lashes look. The formula isnt drying & goes on your lashes very smoothly. The brush is curved which makes the application even easier. I noticed that it has small fiber typo-thingy which make your eye lashes look bigger & fuller. It doesnt melt but its not waterproof either. I'm definitely planning on purchasing this & I would love if this formula is available in waterproof.



7. Rimmel 9-in-1 BB cream:
In such a short time this BB cream has become a 2nd favorite. Its a good 9-in-1 BB cream for daily wear. It does what it says it really primes, conceals & covers almost everything. Give your face that unified & even yet natural tone. I got this cream in shade Light which is a perfect match for my skin tone & has a pinkish undertone. It also has an SPF25 which is always great for me as I dont have to go an extra step. Its a good product for the price & is very affordable. Read complete review here.

Major Drugstore Haul: Makeup Pencils

Here is the second part & this post is all about the makeup pencils I picked during my recent shopping hauls. As I mentioned in my earlier Major Drugstore Haul: Face post that I picked alot of different products for face, lips, eyes etc. So today I'm sharing with all of you the first impressions & mini reviews of these pencils.



1. Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof pencils:
Bourjois is one of my favorite drugstore brand. I love using their makeup & body products. I absolutely love the Rouge Edition Velvet. I've been seeing this pencil on their Instagram account & I wanted to give it a try. These eyeliners are super gorgeous & have variety of different shades. The formula is very soft & creamy but not too soft even if you sharpen them they dont go blunt.
I got this pencil in shade 57 up & brown, & 54 ultra black. I swatched the brown shade & instantly fell in love as its not that usual brown its a shimmery beautiful brown with no orange undertone. The second shade, 54 Ultra Black is super black & I love using it as an eyeliner. Being a soft & creamy pencil eyeliner is creates a beautiful wing without smudging. once I'm done with my makeup I have noticed that the eyeliner sets into the place & doesnt budge untill removed. The staying power is great & it really is a smudge proof eyeliner. I also love layering it over my usual eyeliner to get the blackest eyeliner look.  The colors are as true as advertised & I'm planning on picking few more colors. If you are an eyeliner lover then girls its a must have. Definitely a favorite & must have product. Highly recommended!

2. Maybelline Colossal Kajal:
IF you read my blog you know that I'm a packaging freak. If I love the packaging i'll buy the product whether needed or not. While checking out the counters i spotted this thin yellow pencil on the Maybelline counter, I ignored it at first but the color was so eye catching that I had to go & try it out. The formula is good & it glides on so easily. Its soft but not too creamy nor drying. A good pencil for tight lining the eyes & its retractable. It stays on for hours without smudging or transferring anywhere else. One or two strokes are enough for achieving the bold black look. Another plus point is that I dont have to sharpen it, just roll out & use, very convenient. Just one downside that the kajal stick is very thin & short, i always fear if it will break. Otherwise a great product at such price. A must have for kajal lovers.

3. Rimmel Professional eyebrow pencil:
Here is my another pick by Rimmel, eyebrow pencil. Trust me I have tried alot of brow products & nothing worked this great for me. I love bold brows but still not very sharp or dark in color. Rimmel has different colors in this pencil to match your need. I picked 2 colors, 002 Hazel for daily wear which is a soft blond brownish color & 001 Dark brown for nights out which is a proper coffee brown color.  The formula is great, it give your brows natural & polished look.  It is not waterproof but stays on for hours & hours. Such a great product at even greater price. There is a brow brush at the cap of the pencil. I like it as I dont have to keep an extra tool in my bag. I really like it & use it on daily basis.

4. Rimmel Lasting finish lipliner:
Throughout my makeup experience I feel Rimmel lipliners are the best. They come in variety of shades & the formula is velvety smooth. They glide on easily & stays on the place for hours without drying out your lips. I already had 2 pencils which i enjoyed using so I picked 2 more different shades, 014 Wild Clover & Indian Pink. They makes a great base for the lipstick & keeps the darker lipsticks from bleeding. If you havnt tried these then you are missing out the best lipliner. I find myself keep going back to these everytime I think of lipliners. Dont splurge when you can have a product this good at such a cheap price. Give it a try 7 I'm sure you'll love them.
