Pakistan Fashion Week 2016 | My Top Looks

With me getting married and keeping a close eye on every fashion collection, show and even awards show to keep my wedding looks and trousseau up-to-date and trendy, how could have I missed the Pakistan Fashion Week?

With top designers to the star showstoppers, traditional heavy bridal jora to season-specific trendy pieces, we have alot on our plate. My all dresses have been finalized and throughout this fashion week I have been praying that I stick to them and don't change my plan just a month before my wedding. (Because that would be disaster!!!)

But this year the fashion week made me really happy about all my picks and I am so looking forward to them. I felt I have done a great job in selecting my dresses (pat on shoulder) because most of the styles I picked were very prominent on the ramp. Lets take a look at some of my favorites.

Ghararas, long anarkalis, velvet top and shawls, sheer dupattas, different deep shades of red, heavy work, pastels palettes were big this season.

Aiza Khan, Show stopper for Deepak Parwani

Major Velvet Moments and royalty at Shehla Chatoor

And ofcourse Freeia by Suffuse by Sana Yasir

Not to forget the beautiful couple Sarwat Gilani and Fahad Mirza, who worked for Nauman Afreen

I am loving the Mughal inspired, details, palettes and velvet the most.

Top 12 Fall 2016 Trends | Bombers, Military, Oilive, Velvet, Fur, Patchwork, Pins, Chokers

*I wish you guys could see my face while writing this post, I am that excited.*

I am always excited for this season of the year as we hardly get any cold here in Jeddah but this year I am really looking forward to it as I am gonna be in Pakistan. I have been seeing many different trends popping up but I narrowed down mine and have finally started to shop for it.

With all the fashion weeks ended and people already started to transition their looks into fall I have picked my favorites. And while I shop all these and revamp a few of old ones I wanted to share these with you guyz too.

1. Military/olive colors:
This one has to be my favorite color for the season. I have been seeing it every where in pants, jackets, shoes everything.  This season is really dominated by all things military style, color and print. I really want to pick a military jacket and I have also seen amazing lace up heels at Bershka.
While shopping I noticed few of great pieces @ Bershka, Pull and Bear, ZARA and New Look.

2. Patch work & Pins:
We all have many pair of jeans a few denim jackets and to be honest I am kinda over them because I have been wearing them since my childhood. But this patch work is going to give a new look to many of our staple pieces while adding that pop of fun to the. I am so excited to do some DIYs with all the patch stickers and pins available in market. A few great were spotted @ Also, Stradivarius & Newlook. Oh Oh, Top shop and Newlook has a great pair of jeans with sequined patch work on them.

3. Velvet:
The fabric of the season is so wonderfully soft that you'll want to touch it constantly. Velvet looks so sexy and luxe on body. But this years its not limited to your clothes as I have spotted many shoe, flats, sneakers, heels to bags, gloves and chokers on runway and street. Already having an obsession with the beautiful colors of it, I have purchased 4 shirts to get them embroidery and looking for my perfect pair of shoe now.

4. Fur:
Designers have already had a love affair with luxe fur stoles but asymmetrical draping style trick makes it different than ever before. But you can carry it how ever you prefer and they have been such a staple for fall wardrobe always. I have already got mine and I cant wait to rock it.

5. Military Trench coat:
Pre fall nautical trends continues strong into fall 2016 with navy/military inspired knee to ankle length coats. I have seen them every where from very formal to the ones with patch works. Pair it with heels or sneakers, this trend is here to never fail your outfit goals.

6. Camo Prints:
Lets just confess, we all have a pair of cargo pants in camo print! but this season its not limited to your pants. Camo skirts, camo shirts, camo jackets are all around the stores. Camo print jackets are having a major moment.

PS: Why have I noticed alot of military/camo stuff? Is it me, because I am getting married to an army man or is it really big?? But regardless I am completely rocking these.

7. Statement Sleeves:
So the off shoulder made it to fall by encouraging us to play with different styles of sleeves like ruffles, bell bottomed, bubble sleeves, balloon style, poofed up and so on. This is going to add just an extra cute detail to out outfits. I have been thinking about Disney princesses ever since I noticed this one.

8. Embellishes Guitar Straps:
I am a bag lover and any detail to my bag is a big hit for me. I have been noticing this from the beginning of the year. It is such a cool trend that you can pull off without trying to hard. You can carry this trend on casual days and it will look great on coats and jackets. Yayyyyy!!!!

9. Choker:
Chokers have been around since long but they made a major come back this year. It doesnt matter if you prefer a thin velvet strap or a big heavy metal ones, just make sure there is a choker on your neck to add a little edge to your outfits. I have seen a really goos ones at Stradivarius with a pack of 5 for 59 SAR.

10. Leather Trench coat:
Looking for a raincoat thats equal parts chick and functional? Look no further than next season's patent leather trench coats. Designers looked into leather to craft coats in sleek silhouettes. These style also varies from your classic trench to street-ready.

11. Bombers:
Bomber jackets were big this season and they have definitely staying in fall. Originally designed for WWII pilots in mid 1950, bomber jackets have transformed from a part military uniform, to a high-street fashion staple. Not only does it look sharp but you can wear it with anything and look fashion shot ready.
This trend is so easy to wear_ pair it with bomber of choice with jeans or chinos and a button-down shirt or throw it on your sweats.

12. Sweats:
For me, sweats are always in and this season I have another reason to rock it more often. We all love sweats because how comfy and cozy are they. Do we need more excuses to wear it? Hell no, We dont even need one but I still gave you one more.

So have you decided yours? I am definitely doing some DIYs and fashion posts. Would you guyz like to see it or read it? Let me know in the comments below.

Underrated Products | Boots Ingredients Leave-In-Conditioner & Intensive Treatment Mask

Hi Beauties!

Sorry for being MIA, life happens you know...

I dont know why people dont talk alot about all the products from Boots? Like why people? They are really good and very easy on pocket and when its sale they are almost for free. I have always loved Boots products and none of them ever disappointed me. I love their Cucumber Moisturizing cream and alot more products which you will be seeing on my blog soon.

But today I finally took out the time to review two of the best product discovery of this year.  If you girls have been following me on Instagram or Snapchat (anambaig.ksabh), chances are you guys have probably seen these products there. These products required a detailed post on my blog, so here it is.

Note: If I sound like a promo, please ignore because I love these so much!

Boots Ingredients Leave-In-Conditioner:

So the first product I am talking about is the Boots Ingredients Leave-In-Conditioner with Coconut & Almonds which is suitable for Normal to Dry hair.

Lets take a moment and appreciate the fragrance of it!!!

I just love how fresh and amazing it smells without being too over powering. Think of your self on beach with fresh coconut water with a warm hint of almond, it smells like that. Its a Hawaiian vacys in bottle!!!
Now back to the actual product, it has the extracts of Coconut & Almond (as if you don,t already know). This leave-in-conditioner is formulated to condition the hair, helping to leave it soft and tangle free.

While changing my hair care routine I have noticed that my hair love anything coconut.I was little skeptical about how a leave-in-conditioner works, like how will it abdorb since the regular hair conditioner are really slippery and makes my hair very silky!! But it really helps in conditioning them without leaving any traces of product on my hair.

It makes my hair soft and conditions them really well which is amazing for my dry frizzy hair. In this weather if a product keeps my hair in place, frizz-free and fights humidity, sign me up!

I use it every time I wash my hair. It comes in a bottle with spray pump which makes it very easy to apply and the product distributes evenly on your hair. I use about 4-5 spritz to cover my hair. I just spray it on my damp hair and them gently comb through my fingers to evenly distribute it. I don't use it on my roots or scalp, just on the hair starting from my ear to the tips.

As soon as my hair dries the product is completely absorbed in and my hair feels very luscious. I love how it makes them soft, silky and tangle-free.

Its an amazing product for those who have dry, frizzy and color treated hair. I have also noticed that it makes a big difference when I heat style my hair, they are more manageable and stays in plays without phooofing up!

I would highly recommend this to those who need something extra after shower to fight the frizz and humidity. Its very cheap, smells amazing and leaves your hair beautiful. What else do we need?

Boots Ingredients Intensive Treatment Mask:

The second product I am reviewing for you guys is Boots Ingredients Intensive Treatment Mask. This mask is formulated with Avocado & Macadamia which means its amazing for moisturizing, hydrating, reconstructing, strengthening and nourishing the hair follicles.

Avocado helps in moisturizing the hair, to fight the frizz, dullness, tangles and roughness where as Macadamia is amazing for de-stressing your scalp, prevents moisture loss, adds shine and fights hair-fall.

It comes in a very basic packaging (which I love about Boots products) and its big enough to last you a very long time. Its basically a deep conditioning and moisturizing treatment for normal to dry hair. I am definitely on the dry category with my skin and hair.

The first thing I noticed when I opened it is the smell. By now you girls know that I like my products with a little bit scent to them. I simply hate the fragrance-less products. But that doesnt mean I love them with a very strong fragrance, NO! This one smells really fresh and amazing without being too overboard.

The consistency of this product is thick like a mayoniesse but once you apply, it really soaks into your hair. I was also a little confused about this product as I never used a hair mask before and didnt know how they work. But this product also worked really well for me.

On the instructions it says to apply it before 5 minutes and rinse with a shampoo but what I like to do is, apply a generous amount of it on my hair and cover my head with a shower cap for atleast 30 minutes and then rinse. I feel that leaving it for longer really helps. The product moisturizes my hair and covering it with a shower cap also helps it in absorbing the goodness in my roots.

After shower my hair feels very soft and silky. I love using it in between the days with my oiling routine, when I cant put oil I use this as a quick treatment for moisturizing my hair.

So if you are on budget or in generally looking for a good hair or even skin care products, don't forget to try these products from Boots.

Drugstore Gems | Rimmel 9-in-1 BB cream ( Matte & Radiance)

Just like every other BB cream, Rimmel BB creams also claims to provide many benefits in one tube!
So, Today we will read if the claims are actually true and does this thing really works?

I am a fan of these Alphabetic cream, especially BB cream. I love my skin base minimal and light but no matter how hard your try you end up layering different products for different properties. Thats why I love BB creams as they have multiple benefits and I don't have to go all those steps, because hey! I ain't got no time in morning.

I have been using the Rimmel BB cream Matte from a very long time and I discovered that they have a Radiance version when it came in my mail. Yippeeee!

I love how these have 9 benefits which primes, smoothes, conceals, minimize pores, moisturizes for upto 24hr, awakens, brightens and mattifies/adds radiance depending on which one you picked. The shades have more of cool to neutral undertones which I like as everyone can wear these unless you wanna look really warm or bronzy summer ready.

The best part is I get to apply only one layer of product and in summers its all about let your skin breath. I love how it has SPF 25 which is always a plus point to makeup product I pick. I have dry skin but for some reasons my skin hate ayering up the products and it just hates SPF separately. If I apply any product which is a little heavy I feel my skin cant breath and its suffocated, it also sweats alot.

These BB creams have more of a moussy thicker texture than most of the Westernized BB creams, it is closer to the Korean version of BB creams. Thats why these BB creams require a little more blending than your usual ones. Most of the people claim that these just sit on their skin and doesn't get absorbed. The reason behind this is the texture, you require less product than your usual BB creams and blend it a little more too. once they are blended they give you a beautiful sheer-to-medium coverage that lasts.

I don't recommend this for the sensitive or acne prone skin since it has potentially irritating amount of alcohol and fragrance, so chances are your skin can react. So if you have acne prone or sensitive skin, pass on this one!!!

But its a really good product for those with normal skin. The matte version works well for oily to normal skin, but works fine for the dry skin too (speaking from the experience). I would also suggest that oily skin people set it with a powder just to keep it in the place and last longer in this hot weather (I love the Rimmel Match Perfection for that). Its not a matte-matte version but gives you a subtle matte-ish look, just keep that in consideration.

The Radiance version is good for dry skin only as I feel its just too dewy for normal skin even. But its better than many other drugstore version of BB creams and my second favorite after Ponds BB Cream.  I use my Ponds BB+ throughout the year but I also really enjoy the Rimmel one during colder months.

Primes??                  Yes
Smoothes??              Yes
Conceals??               Almost
Minimize pores??     Almost
Moisturizes??           Yes
Awakens??               Absolutely
Brightens??              Not really
Mattifies??               Somewhat
Radiance??               Yes

Overall:
They are a really good product that works as it claims. It has SPF, primes and gives a good coverage. Its also very light on pocket and the tube packging makes it really easy to use. Its also very great to carry in our bags to work or school. However there are few things which you need to consider before making your purchase. Regardless its my second favorite and I absolutely enjoy it. It doesnt sit into my line or transfer to my scarf. It makes my skin look perfected and more rested + awake.

Let me know about your favorite BB cream below in comments.
